[Jobs] SRM[8/6] and Xtra[20/4]

Post by vkerinav » Wed, 5. Jan 11, 04:13

NighTragE has provided a new Jobs file for Xtra Ship pack users. Get it here.

The two Jobs files below are heavily altered with complete upgrades for each race's military. Both versions are similar, and will spawn the new ships included in their parent mod.

All versions are compatible with the Enhanced Equipment Spawner and Custom Weapon Priorities. (CWP is the original version of the EES, and is fully fuctional.) Using one(and only one) is recommended, but not required.

Litcube's Missile Supplier jobs scripts are required. Go download. The missile boat turret override is optional, but recommended.

Also, thanks to Jaga_Telesin for the use of X3 Unleashed.

I am producing an EES Patch and Configuration for AWRM v0.18.

I revised the Setup.CWP script to:-
  1. support laser lists that start at an id greater than 1.
  2. support missile priorities using ids greater than 10000.
I revised the Lib.Gen script to:-
  1. Prioritise missiles
  2. Prevent spawning of missiles based on missile priority list
  3. Prevent spawning of lasers by ONLY using the laser priority lists (hard coded exclusions removed - now only need to edit the XML, if the laser is absent from a priority list it will not spawn in game for the race.)
I also revised the Job.Loadout script to use the new Lib.Gen script (no boolean flags required any more).

HINT: If you wish to stop a race from spawning any missiles you can use a dummy Missile priority list like this:-

Code: Select all

<!-- Missiles (id = "10001"..."10048") -->
<!-- Missiles: Dumbfire -->
    <t id="10001">-1</t>    <!--Dummy Entry-->
This will also work for lasers, though I do not know why you would want to do that.

See here for the patch..

Also added a job.loadout.max script (primarily for testing of configurations).

Weapons are spawned using a priorities list contained in t\8387-L044. Each race has its own separate list, which allows, for example, the Boron to prioritize the IPG over the commonwealth CIG, while the Argon prefer the CIG.
Sounds like a good script will give it a try but does prefer means they will use only race specific weps ?

If you use my EES patch you can enforce what missiles and lasers ships for any given race will not spawn with.

Updated my EES patch for AWRM v0.19: (Edit - Obsolete)

This new version of the patch includes two basic configurations for Vanilla as well (one with Beams and one without). The AWRM configuration has placeholder entries to support CMOD v4.3 and I intend to release a CMOD v4.3/AWRM configuration after I have had time to produce the CMOD balance/compatability patch for AWRM v0.19.

Hi,

Just downloaded the latest Jobs to run with Cadius latest's Xtra pack...1st off all well done for making the X universe feel more alive but think i have found 1 bug......and i have 1 suggestion for the gameplay.

These are both with a new start......

The Bug....nearly every split sector contains a Split Mammoth....i imagine this is a bug, or it could be a dodgy download my end but just so you know and to look into it!

The game play suggestion with the new Xenon ships, i believe you have made it that the New Xenon Z will only appear in the Xenon core sectors....trouble is in reality their is only 1 Xenon core sector.....this means the chances of ever seeing a Z in very unlikely, in my new game it has only ever spawned K's.......and i have destroyed it several to see if a Z would spawn which it hasn't.

So would it be better to either, 1 just make it so its only ever a Z that spawn's in the core sector? or 2 allow them to spawn in any Xenon sector and increase the chances of seeing 1?

Also is their anyway you can make more Xenon ships spawn in Xenon sectors? In my new game an average Xenon sector contains 1-2 C, 1-2 Q and a G.....that's all.....its not often that i see a K or a J...anymore :(

I would really like to see Xenon space become a very very dangerous place to be......lethal really :twisted:

Would that be a Split Recon Mammoth? If its there now, I bet its been there for months.

It was supposed to be Zs only, but I might have overlooked something. If any of those Ks are escorted by around twenty fighters, then it should be a Z.

Its easy enough to increase the number of ships. Js will have to stay rare, so as not to raise the CPU load too much, but I can increase Ks, Qs and Cs. Too many Gs would just be overkill, if they can be tempted to launch their missiles.

I found a rogue corvette entry, which is presumably the source of those Mammoths. It should now spawn Drakes.

I had also missed setting the new Xenon M2+ entry properly, so it spawned Ks instead of Zs.

There should be a few more Qs, Cs and Ks, now.

MediaFire keeps presenting me with stupid ad's rather than letting me download Xtra jobs v3.2c.

Can we have this file hosted somewhere else? or can someone send me the file directly?

Same. I get the usual MediaFire ad bombs, but the download link does nothing.

I use Adblock for that.

Do we have somewhere specific in mind?
