If you're playing TC then you can't, it's not avaialable in the vanilla game, not actually sure it's in the game at all.
It was buyable in X3(R) iirc, but was taken out for TC.

what about the Valkyrie? I think it's ATF although i'm still unsure what ATF is!

You have to do the Balance of Power plot and capture the pirate ATF ships.
I think they used to bail in earlier version but not anymore.
Edit: ATF is the Terran anti-xenon force (AGI Task Force).
They are cruising Terran space.

I think my game isn't up to date! I see that mission came out with patch 3.0 on 7 October 2010, is that correct? My game says "version 2.1" on top of the game launcher box...
I also noticed the updates are .exe files but how do I extract that into my game since it's Mac OS native?

1. Yes, but that's for PC's.
2. Since your game is the VP port, 2.1 is the latest for the Mac OS. No telling if or when they will port 3.0. You'd have to ask them about any further updates/patches.

uuugh... I had a bad experience with VP! I'm still waiting on an answer from them... Anyway, I did fear this would be the answer...
