hi all !
For a page in italian forum? well.. for me is OBVIOUSLY...and.. I can made a page ( the same of the index page of the english forum ) in italian

I made all ( translation / page ) but no script/model because I'm only a translator
for the various news, well... I think is a good idea to translate all of the important news, update the topic with the new pics , for example obviously

Yes, this would be a good thing, because none of us can italian. Most of us are germans. Only one is american.

We have many to translate . Most of our news are in the german topic (news from 2009 with some Sector pics and others). But the main News are also here. Mod things are not really ready yet or at the moment in german.

Yes that's what we'd like to have translated. So, in the german forum there are also some news from 2009, but I think they needn't be translated, so you may start with the stuff which is presented in this thread.

As you haven't heard anything about our mod since the last news, we'll now give some sort of report about our status.
First of all we now have got an italian topic, thanks to DannyD for the italian translation.
We have made a lot of progress in finishing our scripts, so there's already something ready for playing, but still there's much to do.
The first versions of the balancing of our mod are also being tested, so the balancing perhaps may be the first part of our mod which will be ready soon. Fighting is now very interesting, as the new shields offer new tactical opportunities and the weapons have also been rebalanced. Also there will be some changes on the ships, especially in armament and shielding, as the ships will be more race-specific.
So a first playable version won't be long in coming.
Unfortunately there are some problems concerning the models, which lead to delays in that part of our mod.
Now we'll introduce one of the new features of our mod. We've got an incoming message from the argon military reporting the Xenon threat:

According to the newest reports from pilots travelling through Xenon sectors, the Xenon increased their defense in their sectors. The Teladi sent out a fleet for armed reconnaissance. In this report he mentinoned a jumdrive malfunction which made it impossible for the fleet to retreat. In addition to that he reported, that some of the ships had serious system errors and some crews had to leave their ships. Circles of experts mentioned the insufficient attendance of the teladian ships as the most likely reason for that.
By sending out drones for reconaissance we could find out that the Xenon use their jumdrives more often than before. That may enable them to repulse an attack of the commonwealth races.
The high command of the Argon federation highly recommends to avoid all Xenon sectors without exception. If Xenon activity is reported inside the Argon territory, it is very important for all pilots to leave the area immediately. Do NOT try to fight back the Xenon on your own, and do not hamper Argon military or police forces in their actions. |
That reports contains some information on what will be waiting for you in the mod.

ah yey an update.
Ohhh... surely that accident is not just that, an accident? I smell jump jamming device, something that blocks the jumpdrives of enemy ships. Crew bailing? Whitenoices maybe

At any rate, ive been done with the boring static world of X3 for a while, (most al plugin mods have lost their luster) and I look forward to your mod being released, I can guarantee that i'll be playing straight from your first release.

Seen nothing since last post in February 2011...
Don't speak, read, write, or understand German (or any other human language) so going to german site does nothing for me. Would like to see an update on progress.
Would not mind testing--done that before (been told=If something can be broke I'll break it).

Ok, here's an update.
Concerning the team: We have some new members in our team. 'norden1989' joined as a scripter, Glangg is our new tester, and 'aranb' from the italian forum, 'yaki fan' and 'yaki killer', both from the german forum, are all working as new modelers mow. 'yaki killer' is not registered in this forum btw.
Concerning the mod: We are not progressing as fast as we hoped, because of the real life of most of the team members, but we still work on it. At the moment, we have a version we call 'Pre-Alpha version 1'. This version includes some Models, the map and some basic scripts. But we have some bugs and errors.
We can't show you any pics, but we will provide you with some little information: We are planning to give all AI-controlled capital ships, corvettes and other large ships individual Names, like the Argon One. So it will be possible for you to find a paranid Ship, called 'PP Trinity', or an argon Ship with the Name 'AP Endeavor'. This improves the atmosphere in our mod and ship names won't be so boring like in vanilla game e.g. 'Argon Military Colossus'. I am trying to create such a script, although most of the work (like detecting the ship) will be done by the race-control scripts.

We have got another news for you
We made some progress since the last news. Balancing is almost finished now, and the map is also being tested now.
The new ships and stations are almost done, but there's still some work to be done.
Most work needs to be done on the script. Some of them are ready, and some others of them are well advanced in developement, but a few still need some more work to be done.
But it looks well. We can't say when we will release the alpha exactly, but it could be in the near future.
And as an extra piece of news, here are the first 'living pictures' of our mod:

It's a video that was created for testing, but we decided to upload it. All scenes were recorded in-game, of course.

Actually this video wasn't meant to be released. It was just an internal test, some kind of training.
If it is blocked, then we can't do anything about it. Changing the soundtrack is difficult too, well, technically it's easy but the video needs the backround music...
But for some later videos we'll keep it in mind, of course.
