NEW "Flying, Controlable, Dockable, Pirate Base Warehou

What is it?
-----------
Nothing more than a Modified TShips.txt


Purpose:
--------
converts the Argon Mammoth into a "Flying" Pirates Base
Allows the user to store upto 1,000,000,000 Units of Wares
can be used as a trade base (using zz.AdvSalesman.V1.1) wares can be sold off this "warehouse"
easily transportable to where ever you desire (can use jumpdrive)
Can dock at Shipyards, and delpoy stations

Cons:
-------
changes all Argon Mammoths in the game
"View" is hindered when traveling (i would jump it to where you want a base and fly off in your nova or whatever)

sounds good...

i was wondering if you'd care to make a non flying warehouse?

just something you could maybe buy from a shipyard and deploy in a sector.. with maybe 100k of storage space that takes anything i care to store there..?

or is this already done somewhere??

unfortunatly its not possible, only "flying" ones allow for "any amount" of ware to be stored, all factories in the game are "hard coded" to the respective "limits" (eg EC = 5000, ore=832) ectra, so this is all that can be accomplished at this point

If you exchanged the flying Pirate Base with the X Shuttle then only One will be in the game, I think! Of corse the X Shuttle will no longer be in the game (a lame ship anyway)

This is sooo cool, keep up the good work

i thought of that but i modded my xshuttle to be my transports :lol:

they are upgraded to 10,000 cargo 2 gamma PPC's, 12 shields, and speed mods as well :)

also you can dock at the mammoth, dont know if the shuttle will allow you to assign transports to it?

if you want the x-shuttle done i can and will if ya like (will take a few minutes is all)

Thank you for the quick response, I have already moved the Flying Pirate to the x shuttle, thank you for the offer!

I may be doing something wrong but I am unable to land any ships eather way, the data says I can land 24 ships but landing is not possable.

I also tried to put guns on the station but they will not fire, I have not tried missles yet.

I did have some luck and made the station go like an M5 but it does like to bump into things.

I think I will use the data from one of the Battle Ships and see if I can land or fire the guns after I change the ship number to the Flying Pirate.

This is too much fun for free.

can you make more goods?

i want a self defending nav satelite.. with like up to a 125 Mw shield, and 4 turrets capable of taking up to a Beta HEPT..

can you not add new ships? or just mod the old ones?
then you could make the SD nav sat out of a new ship, with 5 speed, and the info above... but with a built in triplex scanner... as well as a small ( 500 units.. ) cargo hold to store stuff...

i have played with that idea i did "mod" my adv sats to 1000 cargobay, 6 125mw shields, 2 gamma PPC, 10,000mw power generator, and upped the hull strength to 100,000 (and of course add all ship extensions as well), but i never really "tested" it (when delpoyed in enemy sectors, i grew tired of "one of your ships is under attack" every 5 seconds) so i abandoned the idea.

if there was a way (i dont know how) to disable that #$#$# audio message, i believe i could have had the effect you desire. (i also did it to the laser towers) but never really "tested" it other than to see if the changes i made were the actual "stats"

I owe you an apology, I am sorry! You flying Pirate works fine and I am able to land as you said.

I found out that if you move the data from the Mammoth position to the X Shuttle position on the page like I Suggested, the docking stops working.

I guess I have more ideas than skill!

I am still trying to put guns on this cool ship and now I think I have more ideas about that, I have been working only in the X Shuttle section of the page which is Good only if you want a ship with no landing dock.

Still having too much fun for free

you can replace the xenon TL instead of the argon TL in tships.txt. I have never seen a xenon TL so this change shouldn't affect the game.

yeah thnx for the info, i threw up an alternate version on the site below, but be aware if you use either (Shadowtechs Super Carrier v1.0 or Shadowtechs Flag Ship and Home Base Mod v1.1) then get my other called: "babyfaces.flying.pirate.base-argon.mammoth.mod.zip" as this "Xenon I" base uses the same ship data spot as shadowtechs mods
