[X3TC 2.5] A true "Proud Moment"

Hello all, I just completed my largest complex to date.
It started as a 600 station complex in Tkr's Depravation to complete the hub resource requirements and morphed into a 1,500 station monstrosity! :D


The Fleet used was comprised at the highest point by 59 Mammoth's used as station transports and 18 Orca's used as CCK haulers.

The asteroids are arrange like this in a vertical wall with 5km spacing
Something like the above "Diagram".

When I uninstalled the Tubeless mod the game wouldn't load so I gave up and took the shoots I could.

I'm not *quite* sure of the exact station numbers due to one of my Mammoths being lost whilst carrying unknown stations....I replaced the unknowns with Chip plants. By the time I was nearing completion, my FPS were flatlined at 2. :headbang: :evil:


(This is NOT a closed loop due to lack of Ore/Silicon IS. I'm planning on supplying it via complex's in Barren Shores, Mines of Fortune and perhaps Weavers Tempest and Ocracoke's Storm. meanwhile mobile mining in Family Tkr is helping offset the deficit.)

They were placed using the Station Stacking technique. (couldnt find a link to the thread were I read about it)

This was all done in "Semi-Vanilla" because I use both
Lower Poly Asteroids and TCM Tubeless_Complex_Mod. (Many thanks to the Script writers of these btw)


Edit: Edited out a couple of edits and added more screenshots and changed most of the freakin post. :lol:

Thanks, it took me a week and a half to do and it ruined that game by making the load time between sectors just under 13 minutes...still worth it though! :D

Strikes me that your Disintegrator Rifles and Sidearms fabs are too numerous. There's not that much demand for them. I also think you have too many shield fabs; the demand is big but not nearly that big.

Good effort, and very impressive, but I regret to report that it may not turn out to be the profit factory you intended it to be.

However, it is a good base to start putting other more useful factories on.

I believe you are correct. those stations were merely filler towards the 1500 mark, I'll use CLS ships/pilots to move probably everything that will not sell onto TL's for sale at the closest Shipyard.

I find you only need about 10 TLs for mega plex building, as you can send them back for more facs when empty they will return before you empty 3-4 more. Still, quite impressive.

Under most circumstances I do use around 10 TL's. in this case I was sending them to the dangerous Ocean of Fantasy and Zyarths Dominion and had to keep an M2 in that sector as an escort....it was easier to just buy all or most of the stations of each type whilst I had my eye on safety for the TLs rather than letting them go 1 by 1 and (probably) be destroyed. Also I forgot to put it in the main post, But I was using the technique of "Station Stacking" placing 20-25 stations inside of another. I couldnt find the thread were I read about it so couldn't link to it. (This'll be REALLY bad if a Pirate kills the connectors :P )

Nah, that would have made the building far too easy because all the stations in all TL in a sector could have been built instanteous... and while being OOS.

And most importantly, it wouldn't be a very braggable 1500 station complex or a 13 min load time! =P

That is quite impressive... and probably took more patience than I could possibly have had. Does the load time take 13 minutes for every sector though, or just Tkr's Deprivation?

True that, perhaps I'll go heavily Modified later when I restart again.

Not sure right yet, I'll put a stopwatch to it later today again though.

Edit: Perhaps if there is any demand for it I'll uninstall the "Tubeless" mod and take a few more screenshots....even the thought of trying that is scary though. X_x

2. I'll see what I can do, bear in mind these stations are literally "Stacked" 20-25 *inside* of another of the same type. still I'll get some pics :)
