Tractor Beam Help Please

hey guys i have bought the tractor beam for moving my stations.

ive installed it in a laser bay in my mercury, argon MT and various other ships.

weapon does not fire. at my staion or any station. tried all ranges.

any ideas please help

the mercury cant fire a tractor beam.

the only TS ship that can is the caiman miner.

It is quite difficult to use but after three or four attempts I can usually get it to lock on. Keep spped under 60ms and try SETA.
Useful. Liked it so bought a factory and put it on all my Capital ships.

The tractor beam doesn't work with most ships, usually you need an M6.

If you like argon ships then I suggest you get a centaur as thats what I use to tow stations, the beam only fits on the main guns and its best to insure that all other bays are empty or you might damage your target

You have to be close and facing the station for towing, once you've fired manually you should get a light display that leaves you in no doubt that you'r towing said station, at this point I usually use a command to move to position and keep looking at the station as its very common for to beam to break when you make sudden adjustments to navigation.

I have to say that in TC the tow command works very well once you have the right ship for it...
