I didn't ask anyone via PM to test this as i wanted it to be a purely volunteer thing with no presure, so i asked openly.

People either volunteer or not, easy.

And sorry to burst your bubble, and i'm trying to say this nicely,yes you mentioned a stock exchange thing, but, this particular script has been worked on by me for a long time before that.

Another thought - regarding reporting - are you planning on keeping a log of transaction via the Banking menu?

There should be the ability to go back and historically view all transaction - and then perhaps create charts (I might be able to help with this)

Regarding reporting, hadn't given that much thought to tell the truth, seems like i will have to as people will want to know that kind of info.

Will get the core aspects of the script sorted first then look into the reporting aspect. If you want to put some thought into it and see what ideas you come up with, by all means do so.

First thing i want to say I am absolutely crazy for this script.I actually earn and lost money,just money.No trading from my side,no kiling, no escorts,transporting,hiring UT,building factories, I just sit my little M3 and play the stock market.

You made me very happy.

Second thing is we could use a hotkey

Third thing you must say what do you planing to do with companies and banks(I realy need to know).

Fourth thing is there is no bugs.This is probably result of my inability to see them because I am so thrilled with this script.This will hopefully pass in time

aside from the index going up to an absurdly(and IMO unecessary) high number, this is pretty solid and bug free. also the terran stock market in certain areas (guns / shields / missiles) is abit exploitable.

for the index: i think going up to 200 would suffice.

Ahh .. no bugs... time to build some in ....

The Index can go a bit higher than is actually requied to show that those Shares are not worth considering at present, so as you suggested i'll probably cap this at 200.

Due to the script actually reporting on the current economy of the area, right at this stage i don't know what i can do about the exploitable situation in the Terran economy and i haven't had a look yet to tell the truth, but i will have a look, and if you have any ideas, spit em out.


Thanks to everyone for your contributions and overwheming support. You have all helped immensly.

Test Version 3 coming soon with
- Collapsable Wares areas in the Exchange Menu.
- Trend indicator (hopefully).
- Index capping at 200.
- Hotkey for those who really must have it.

Mark - I played the market for about an hour yesterday and have the following comments:

- market fluctuations are much more reliable now - I intentionally tried to manipulate the price of Meatsteaks and Ore in Argon and was not able to - much better!

- I too made and lost some money - it is now necessary to diversify my holdings across several commodities instead of just dumping into one and working the market.

- a hot key will be a welcome addition - I am thinking about the menu's - it can take a while to get to the window I want (usually the overview of the market) - I will post about this when my thoughts are clearer.
