Has anyone listed the 2nd hand values of ships?
100% hull, no weapons, shields etc.
I'm thinking it could be **** useful list to have....

Kinda hard to list that as the values would be different depending on how much engine tuning, cargo bay expansion and such the ship has.

Just going from the basic 'straight out of the yard' - no additions, no expansions, nada.

The NPC's like to vary their prices when it comes to selling a ship second hand. Case in point, I got a Iggy Vanguard (100% hull, 5 FBL's, full shields, and some upgrades) for less than 85K. Some time later I picked up another Iggy Vanguard (73% hull, no extra's) and it cost me over 200K.

The price of second hand ships can also vary depending on your trade rank. There are some crazy deals at high ranks.

If you're lucky, sometimes you can get a few high quality marines on board. It's worth paying the premium, as this can be the fastest way to get your first strike team ready to go.

I'm not talking about the buying price of various offers you are given by every other NPC out there.
Seeing as it doesn't seem to have been done before I'm going to go into each 'Super-shipyard' and buy the 'S' version of the common ships. No upgrades, no expansions, drop the shield off to another vessel and copy down the price the yard is offering for the hull. This should give us some idea of whther when we encounter a 2nd hand vessel on offer whether it is actually worth the asking price. If anyone wants to expand this into the rare ships they'll probably need use of the PHQ.

It can't be done, 200K for a M6 or 2M for a M5 (Second hand prices), Buy anything from a Shipyard, then try to sell it back, it just lost close or over 25% of it value.

A search for that might yield what you are looking for.

A fine guide you've posted. However

a) The price you get varies with your race/trade rank (not sure if it's either or both)

b) Apparently you can make more money by selling the hulk to its race station (I haven't tried this, but a fairly recent posting here was adamant), so assumng this is correct then the converse must be true..

iirc,the value of ships you make at the PHQ varied ,not only from Race to Race,but also with your rep with that race.

I would assume this also applies with selling 2nd hand ships.

However,the guide above is still useful.

The price you sell the bare hull for at a shipyard does not vary with trade rank.
I was no higher than Financier when I made the list. I am now Master Industrialist and the prices remain correct to the credit.
It doesn't seem to matter which race you sell them to either, I'm not getting any difference between races.
I might expand this to include some of the rare ships when I get the time.
If anything does vary the price that you're offered it'll be race rep, all prices listed are for top rank with all races.

The price you get paid for ships definitely varies (a lot!) with race rep. Not sure, but have certainly seen it claimed many times that a race will pay a higher price for one of their own ships as well (ie Teladi pay higher price for Teladi ships than Argon will).

It's nice of you to post the information, but unfortuantly the info won't be of much use due to the random prices that you get offered. Only the other night I got offered two Manta Haulers 100% hull, one was 500k the other was 1.2 Million. The only difference was one had a 1mj shield and a IRE installed. THe only real way to turn a profit on these ships is to go for the damaged versions. The only time it's worth buying full hull ships is if it's a version that can't be bought i.e. Buster Sentinel etc.
