Game Freezing

The game has started freezing with the sound looping, this happens after going a few jumps.
This has only recently started after two weeks of constant play with no problems.
Have tried un-install and re-install twice no luck. Then Tried a complete reformat of drive and re-install of XP, drivers and X2 the threat.
Still keeps freezing after a while.
Also tried disabling EAX, bumpmapping, and sound also no effect. :evil:
The game is now unplayable because of this.
I see other's having same problem with no solution.
Also cntrl-alt-del works and show X2 as not responding when I select End Programe it takes a minute before game is shut down.

Are you using ANY scripts? mods?

Yes I was running the Autotrade script.
I belive the problem was the save file. Restarted the game (Trading from scratch again :cry: ).
But at least there is no freezing so far. :)
It seems that the script is corrupting the save file or else it is something else altogether.
