Id like some info on yaki.

They have 3 secotrs that seem empty to me, how can i help them ?

what do these guys eat ?
Who are they at war with ?
What kind of stations could help them ?

I was thinking of maybe doing a mobile mining fleet for nvidium buy 1 huge tl and fill it up. Than start buying ryus filling them with this nvidium and sell them. Profits and trading with them. But nvidium is... to much money lol...
How can i really help them ?

What is their purpose on the X universe ? do they have their own Legends? Myths, i dont know... i would just like to know more about them.

Stories anyone ?

The Yaki:

My take on the yaki is that they are a pirate nation they have three systems and some unique ships.

Best of all though is the IBL forges they have with a bit of dilligent planning you can supply them exclusively as they don't have traders themselves.

The only thing you have to avoid is accepting missions that cause you rep loss with your allies.

The X Encyclopedia wrote:

Winters, the Yaki and the Beryll

The Community of Planets was beginning to suffer from increasing internal political and economical turmoil. It was in this context that Winters campaigned for the revival of the Terraformer project, albeit without success: neither the Argon Federation nor any other government in the Community was willing to lend their support to his case. Eventually, Winters offered his services to the Beryll, an organisation specialising in the theft and trade of advanced technology.

The Beryll, in fact a part of the Yaki syndicate, agreed to provide Winters with unlimited resources in return for knowledge of and access to Terraformer/Xenon technology. This mutual agreement, while highly successful, was also almost universally illegal. In order to achieve his dreams, Winters became a criminal.

As the diplomatic relations between the Argon Federation and Earth became ever more strained, despite its profound reservations the Argon government saw no other way forward than to contact Marteen Winters for technological assistance. Earth technology was far in advance of that of the Community: only Terraformer advances might enable the
Community to achieve some form of parity. Unfortunately, involving
Winters inevitably involved the Beryll as well: reluctantly,
the Argon Federation Secret Service was forced to
hand over parts of the covert operations inside the Sol system
to the Beryll.

There's also some mention of Julian Brennan having Yaki links as a young pilot, and I get the impression from reading it that Bret Serra, one of the characters in the X2 storyline, was of Yaki origin.

So they have a thing for old terran tech and run pretty much on space fuel... Figures. IBL sounds better than just flying space molotovs...

They sure need some ore and wheat i think... not to sure about supporting the IBL fabs but i know where all the resources go after im done supplying the space fuel fabs...

Maybe it would be funny to run a Terran solar power plant to supply the wheat and space fuel fab Smile
