Krunk Maddness [episode 1] (pics included)

Post by Jokeuhl »

Deep in enemy territory the bankrupt assasin Krunk was sweating as the Capital ships bore down around him. Hundreds of fighters, and an ominous enemy base lingered in the background, but he had no fear, and no intention of backing down. As he accelerated into nothing less than assured death he armed his Firestorm torpedos and realesed an assault on the closest ships. In an instant fifteen snub fighters blinked out of existance as the first salvo of missles hit, but it wasnt over yet.

Krunk was an experienced space pilot. In his younger years at the academy his classmates would gawk in disbelief at his skill, and reckless valor, but his abilities were undeniable. His skills were certainly being tested today though as the Xenon K bore down on him with GAMMA PPCs blazing. As Krunk Corkscrewed through the hail of fire he sprayed the deck of the colosus with Plasma, and executed a perfect Immelmann turn just in time to match speeds with the foe. He new that the capital ship would not risk firing its flak cannons at such short range. He knew the fore and aft turrets had no line of sight. He knew that no missle would penetrate his 3 Gigajoules of shielding. He knew that no snub fighter would dare a direct approach. He was in the blindspot, the belly of the beast, and he tore down the gates of hell as his plasma melted the K's hull.

The explosion rocked space itself, and like a pinata the "K" spilled it's valued candies. In the background the other ships were turning tail as the Crusader Krunk slew their champion. To give chase would have been too much though, and for this day the battle was won.

With the new found solice in the sector, trade routes began to be more abundant. Krunk posted a Headquarters there to oversee the security of the bottleneck as well as his own business. It was not long before dignitaries and politicians from all the races began visiting the sector to prospect for new allegence with this master of hostile space.

Weeks past and Krunk grew bored. His sector a success, and his name in history was simply not enough to quell his lust for adventure and excitement, and the devil inside him urged him to become the assassin that he had once been, but he was afraid. The Borons and Paranid had threatened him in the past, and he knew they were not to be trusted. And the Argon always attempted to stop him from selling his wares. The Teladi and the Split were too self-serving to be of any interest, and they always seemed to steal his profit in this sector. His pockets were leaking and he needed a new source of income.

It was at this moment as krunk stared off into space that a bright light lit up the dark side of the far moon. Now, he would say that he simply hadn't noticed, or that he wasn't ready, but it would have been a lie. The xenon were back....

Hell, building an HQ in a Xenon sector? Why didn't I think of that before myself? :P
