Out of curiosity I've fiddled with making game starts. Seems fairly simple. Can some folks test these out and give feedback?

Split found Kha'ak fighter. Split enter fighter. Fighter jump to unknown space. Fighter finally come back, now split seen as enemy.

Ok, before going more gung-ho on the Plebeian Pedlar start the basic functionality should be tested. Can someone use this start and just hit seta then report what pops up.
Should get 12 messages. At the start a trading station in Pres. End should be created. At the end the station should transfer control to you and a docked ship should be there too.

Interesting, a post about the binary (or is it?) but no comments on the stuff I've asked for.
Another request if someone can spare the 10 mins. Start up in the Lost Lar and head west as usual. Your ship will be made invincible, next gate over should be the hub. Please try to claim Ma's dolphin and realign a gate set.
If this works the code can be ported to a skip missions utility...

Well I tried the Xenon one, first sector you start in are friendly the other Xenon sectors are not, probably need a script to 'fix sector relations' to solve it.
Once you build a Xenon station or m1/m2 you get many spawns of Terran instantly around what you built and they wipe it out in no time- stop this and Xenon have a chance or it's just not really worth the hassle.
Not tried the rest yet, hope this helps.

No not quite, but you can change the maps\waretemplate.pck to make the Xenon or any shipyard sell what you wish.Aro wrote:Build a xenon stationdo the shipyards have them?
Also - you can make the Xenon thus sell/buy items in their own trade stations creating a small economy of theoretical needs.
I think the engine doesn't like the Xenon doing this and throws in everything but the kitchen sink to oppose it.

Aro, I cannot thank you enough for this mod. I have taken advantage of this great Xenon start. You can auto dock at shipyard and buy\sell however the station "in 472" is tricky once you try and add ware. Now clearly someone with more experience than me will need to help this excellent mod take-off! Xenon "Not Neutral or Friendly Race" are actually friendly and when I exit and leave the sector they are still friendly The mod is good with Xenon Improved race mod. makes them extra hardcore..Just need the buy\sell style addon as mentioned above to be amazing!
