ISR vs CIG?

Which of these weapons is better (ship in question: Hyperion Vanguard, main battery)?

There is a huge difference in there weapons stats between the game encyclopedia and the Internet..

On http://eng.x3tc.ru/x3_tc_weapons/laser-list.php we have:
CIG: 7845 shield damage, 2615 hull, 420m/s speed
ISR: 2671 shield, 962 hull, 498 m/s speed

The in-game encyclopedia:
CIG: 9.8k shield, 3.2k hull, 420 speed
ISR: 10.2k shield, 3.7k hull, 498 speed

Who to trust on this one, since the difference is huge?

That site does neither quote nor take into account refire rate and is quoting damage per shot... The in game encyclopedia quotes damage per second.

The in-game encyclopedia is probably the better source of data for comparing weapons as it is more complete.

Personally I'd take CIG's. ISR's run though energy like there's no tomorrow esp. with an M6.

On my Hyperion Vanguard, I carry a selection of weapons but end up either using ISR or EBC.

ISR have the added bonus of draining the target's weapon energy, which can help a little (but the EBC are manic - the Commonwealth version of MAML effectivly but with lower range and more accuracy).

When shooting down fighters CIGs are a bit of a pain because they push the target around between hits making accuracy an issue.
