New cp for M5 Pegasus

M5 M4 M3 terran cp are slighty updated about textures and shapes

Now I will work on Xenon's cp and some others cp's before new version It will take long time sorry :)

I will update for Xtended 1.2 but I work on my cp's for the moment
Easy to update yourself, just replace Cp_scenes in TShips file

Tiny view field, bad monitors views, this cp is not adapted for the commonwealth ^^

Your Cps are as cool as allways , I think the best ones are the split cps they are so well done , they look nearly vanila they are that well done , allso the paranid m5 looks nice to , but i do think that the argon and terran , plus the default ones look good in shape but using x2 textures is a bad dessision from my opinion , but then there are not that many good texures in the game for cps , I am just trying to be constructive , apart from my small rant
Fraking amazing mod , you allways bring the imersion to X3tc and XTC

I try to use dds textures as possible with those new cps but they are not all good for cp's elements,

I keep in my mind some ships must be olds, thats the reason I keep few old X2 textures like for Xenons, also Ships class (M3, M3+, M4, M5 etc etc ) is considered for texturing, also race, Paranid's cp will be spacious instead Split's and Xenons for exemple

In this new M5 Xenon, 90% is textured with dds, 10% jpg but you cant see all the entire cp yet :)

M5's Paranid and xenons are a bit ugly because they are "only" M5's, no complexes textures or shapes for the moment, M4 will be better and better again for M3's etc etc ..

Of course, I still begin to make a cp considering the external structure of the ship and the cp position, I bring few polygons from the ships and I work on this :)

I am correct in thinking that if I install this MOD that the game will consider it as eing modded, and therefore i wont get the plot missions?


Secondly, for installing mods to Steam purchases are the installations the same other than pointing to the Steam (commonapps/game) folder instead of the normal install path?

when your game is ``modified`` it dos not block anithing , the only effect it has is making your game more awsome .
I did some of the plot missions with this mod on , so dont worry
EDIT : you must be thinking of custom universe , thats a start where the plots are unavailable
but mods do not desable plots in anyway

excellent, cheers chap. yes, could well ahve been Custom.. i've had X3TC for 24 hours and played about 2, with about 5 hours of forum and guide reading, so I am reeling under information overload.

I think the last game i played like this was Elite on the BBC computer...about 26 years ago.....

...but sincerely missing a cockpit ;-)

I'm currently running the hangarmod, which I don't think I could do without, but I'd love to use this one as well. Is it possible to combine/merge them so that I could run them both at the same time?

New M4 Xenon, just better equipements than N, the field of view is also just better ^^

I just want to say thank you, cause of the Cockpit mod...

Just started playing X3 again and i really wanted cockpits - now its just awesome.

I really hope they (Egosoft) dont bring another game WITHOUT cockpits...

I think it's just plain lazy that they didn't add cockpits to TC.

On the other hand...it just may be that PSCO1's cockpit mod may have been better than the default cockpits they made anyway :P

They could have hired him to do it too...

Hey, Awesome mod. This game really needs cockpits. But I have a problem:
this game also really needs fighter trails and that conflicts. It's strange if I load the trails after the cockpit mod, the cockpit changes to something but the trails work. And if I load the cockpit mod last, the cockpits are right but I only get weak smoke effects for trails.

HELP please! What do I do?
Sorry if this has already been asked.

They both modify the same file, TShips. So the only easy way to use both is when someone else has done all the work of making both trails and cockpits work from one, unified TShips file.

The SRM does that, the Xtra ship pack might if you load the cockpits first - but don't take my word on it ...

From your tone I am guessing that is not easy to do, making them both work together?

I do have programming experience so if someone could point me in the right direction I could probably handle it...maybe.

Anyways thanks for the response guess I will have to decide if I want cockpits or trails more.

You have to merge the relevant entries in the TShips file.

This is most easily done using Litcube's TShips Excel editor. Requires Excel 2010, but once you've setup two copies of it to read from the two TShips, you can just copy an entire column from one sheet to the other, save, export the TShips, play.

I'm just not sure which columns you need, you'll have to ask PSC01 or one of the trails guys (Killerog, Algoran) for that info :)

... if you do not have access to Excel 2010, say hello to a lot of manual copy pasting in X3 Editor 2 :(

This mod looks fantastic, I wasn't interested in playing the game until I saw this, but now I learn that using this will cause my game to be tagged as MODIFIED and it will disable Steam achievements.

Is there anyway to avoid this? I have another mod that makes the sidebar transparent and it doesn't seem to cause this.

The False Patch thread says that "mods only changing graphic files and no 'T' files will not result in a modified whether installed on their own or as a fake patch, as long as the game is not already modified" so I'm not sure if it will help?

If not, is there any other way to resolve this, because otherwise I'm just going to set this game aside for a while until there is a solution that allows cockpits and achievements to coexist.
