On a side note; it showed some interesting artefacts of the game, including the left side weaponry of the split python firing back through the superstructure of the ship, were there any mods used, or do the weapon arcs pass through the vessel.

Nope, I didnt use any mods.

Yes, the laser shoots throught the ship, but I've seen this in X3 reunion aswell, atleast for the Argon Titan.
