|
We are pleased to announce Transcend II for Terran Conflict will soon be available as "pre-release" version.
In April of this year, we announced cancellation of Transcend I for TC in favor of Transcend II. We decided to put all our efforts into Transcend II for several reasons:
1. New Galaxy map: Transcend II uses a completely new Galaxy map. This provides players with a fresh alternative to the all-to-familiar Egosoft X-Universe Galaxy - providing new places and challenges to "Trade. Fight. Build. Think".
2. Performance Improvements: Transcend II Galaxy (and the mod in general) has been carefully designed with an eye to maximizing game performance.
Terran Conflict is basically a mod of X3-Reunion. Instead of building a mod on top of another mod, we decided to take a different approach with Transcend II.
Transcend II utilizes the power of Mission Director for enhanced game-play enjoyment!
The upcoming (End of July) pre-release will contain the basic Transcend II mod. Final release will incorporate additional game starts and other interesting features. Expansions are already under development.

For this "pre-release" version (available end of July), we will include 3 game-starts - all taking place in the custom Transcend II galaxy (194 new sectors)
Lost in Space:
While returning from a mission in the X-universe galaxy, your fleet of warships encounters a wormhole, landing you in a far-flung galaxy. Having no means of communication with the home system, your only hope is to explore this region of the universe in an attempt to find friends with whom you may develop alliance. Your fleet is scattered, and their fate is unknown. You must cross vast regions of space full of challenges at every turn!
Invasion:
This is the original Transcend I scenario adapted for Transcend II galaxy.
The Galaxy is in ruin. Commerce and trade between races has all but ceased and sector economies are collapsing. Key sectors have been lost to the Xenon, Kha'ak and Pirate factions. All the major allied Fleets are engaged in combat against an ever-increasing foe.
Terran High Council has decided that their historically isolationist policy must be set aside to avoid being engulfed by the chaos besetting the rest of the galaxy. You are the commander of a powerful Fleet of ships, with the perilous task of saving the galaxy from ruin.
Hunted:
This is for those who like a little more combat action in their game. After you destroy 2 Pirate ships, you will receive a warning from Pirate Headquarters. If you destroy 2 more Pirate ships, you had better run, because the hunt is on! They will chase you to the end of the galaxy and through the gates of hell. As you travel, you will find yourself with a growing "pack" of relentless Pirates after your head. You can run, but you cannot hide!

As Stu stated, that is a "Temple Gate". They are found inside asteroids requiring a special unlock code to open the doors for access inside. These special gates are very ancient, and preceed the existence of other jumpgates found in the X-Universe.
The origin of these Temple Gates will be reveled in a future Transcend expansion involving the "Nanite infestation" and time-travel.

This sounds very nice. Congrats for your Team. Especially I like the story and the new Uni in the past in X3RE. Now waiting to fight this Uziel-Fighter again. Please, don´t forget multilanguage installation as mentioned some month ago.

The Temple Gate is inside an asteroid surrounded by an X2 style "nebula cloud". Finding the asteroid involves a ransom mission. Getting inside the asteroid requires that you fire your laser at a combination lock in specific order. Once you unlock the door, it will raise to let you fly in.
