how to install ship packs

i'm having trouble trying to get a ship pack i've downloaded to work.

its the eve online pack from http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=294393

my first problem is i cant read a word of German and the stuff i've put through google translator doesn't seem to talk about installation. i went ahead and downloaded the installs and installed them into both the \x3 terran conflict\ and \addons\ directorys since i wasn't sure which one to install too.

game loads fine, but i cant find the ships anywhere. even resorted to the cheat pack to spawn ships to see if they'd come up in the list... no good...

anyone able to help?

The mod is designed to be installed as Fake Patch to X3 Terran Conflict (see this FAQ article or this tutorial by EmperorJon on this installation method). It's not compatible with X3AP.

The cat/dat files from the "-eve-x_daten"-archive should have a lower number than the ones from the "eve-x_texturen"-archive. The other files should go in their respective folders (i.e. files from the archive's "scripts"-folder should be copied to your X3 Terran Conflict/scripts-folder and so on).

Note that the mod is currently in alpha stage and that's normal that you cannot buy the ships yet.
