Bump:
For kicks, I decided to throw a few Trek comparisons and some real world comparisons in just to show off the sheer scale of some of the X-Universe ships.
Threw in an M6 ruler too. All of the M6s are roughly the same length so it saves some time. Lengths are somewhat approximate. Used the 1 km ruler provided for all of these.

Fitting that the Teladi Phoenix edges out the Borg Cube in length. It's sure built like one.
Edit: Added a Star Destroyer. Won't see the Super Star Destroyer, as it's a whopping 19 km in length.

Borg cube vs. Deca terraformer- wonder which ship wins that battle? Could I make a request? I mean if you ever got bored and wanted a new project; I would like to see some of the ships from the Transcend II mod scaled for comparison.
Especially the Hailstorm , but there are some pretty nice ships in that mod.

Judging by what he used, I'd say lots of patience and legwork with probably a fair amount of trial & error.someone else wrote:Ingredients: X Models 3D Viewer, Microsoft paint, Gmax, PC's calculator, a ruler, lots of free time.
It's just a guess but I think Gmax would be the main key, since modders use the program to create/design the hulls of custom made ships, with the 3D Viewer acting as a reference/comparison.

Dang, it says that the file is no longer available. Someone Else, if you read this, could you update the link? It sounds like it's awesome!
Would love to see this if anyone else has it available to upload to rapidshare or something in case SE doesn't come here anymore?
I'm loving X3: TC, played Reunion for 9-10 months straight when it came out, for at least 8 hours a day. Thankfully I have a wife to break that habit this time around.
