Need help suplying fleet
Hi.
As usual, here I am asking for help
When will the time come, when I can provide some help instead of begging it?
My problem is with suplying my fleet.
I currently have a TL and a few cap ships (M7 and M6) plus fighters.
Which is the best way to keep them fully suplied with missiles and e-cells?
I tried the suplly command software, but didnt figure out how it works (Yes, i'm that dumb)
Can someone give a step by step as how to create a supply chain, going form my missiles and energy factories down to my ships?
Very much appreciated whatever help u can give me!!
I hope someday I can return the favor (but dont count on it in the near future!)
PS: By the way. Im playing TC

Supply Command Software:
Equip a ship with supply command software.
Go to it's command console and you will see a new option
4. Special
Under this you will see -
2 Resupply Ships
3 Rearm Ships
4 Refuel Ships
5 Equip Ships like
Press 2.
You will then get a universe map. What it wants you to do here is select the ship you wish to resupply.
On doing so you will be presented with a menu of ware types:
Energy
Tech
Missile
Laser
Shield
Mineral
Bio
Food
I'm sure you'll work the rest out from there.
If you equip your supply ship(s) with a Jump Drive and set auto jump (command console and scroll down) to Yes and give it a refuel interval it will use the jump drive in it's work resupplying vessels. If you don't it will travel everywhere by just flying.
I don't know how Equip Ships like works. I was just going to make a thread asking how to use it but since you're asking much the same I'll ask if someone can explain here.

Normally you tell the supply ship exactly what to grab to equip a ship, let's say an M2, which has a lot on its shopping list. With Equip Ship Like, you target a ship that is already fully equiped with that you want for an M2, let's say an NPC M2. The supply ship will go buy exactly what the target ship has and equip your new ship with the parts.Luke Skyscraper wrote:Supply Command Software:

No way! that actually works!?! I've got to try this when I get home. I wonder if you could set the supplying ship a homebase/TL/EQ to get the equipment from?Normally you tell the supply ship exactly what to grab to equip a ship, let's say an M2, which has a lot on its shopping list. I always end up borrowing another HTAS Boreas from Legend's home every time I jump to that sector. hehe

I am not sure about the Home Base to get equipment from. I think the supply ship buys whatever the best deal is, which may or may not be from your own stations. It buys them nonetheless, I don't think it will "steal" parts from another ship of yours.
Make sure you give it a jump drive and an Auto-Jump range of 50 so it can jump around the galaxy looking for those parts. This can be found in the ship's Command Console, near the bottom of the page.

Actually you would want to set the limit to 1, or 0. If it were 50, then the ship would not auto-jump unless it were jumping more than 50 sectors.
Thanks for the explanation of Equip Ships Like though. I've tried it before but my ship always seems to just hang and not do much. Or rejects the command, I forget, it's been a while.
Wasn't it bugged at one point? Was it ever fixed?

I was thinking of Station Jump Range that has a maximum, autojump is a minimum range. Anyway, did the supply ship you were using have a home base? That might have limited the funds it had available to buy things to that station, otherwise it will use the player's credits.amirite wrote:Actually you would want to set the limit to 1, or 0. .
I have five Atmospheric Lifters and five Super Mistrals with all the software installed.
Every Mistral have the order to Resupply a different Lifter with teladianium or ore(10000-30000 quantity), autojump is set to Yes, nr. of jumps to 0 or 1 an Fuel to 60.
The three Mistrals that must resuply with ore, jump only in nearby sector, where is one Ore Mine, first will buy let's say 40 ore, second 10, etc.. and it will deliver to the Lifter. There are Ore Mines two sectors away, but they don't want to go.(they have at lest 500 e-cels each in cargo, so this is not the problem). When they finish energy cells form cargo bay, just fly to the mine in nearby sector(no jump), they will not resupply with fuel.
I set homebases of the Mistrals the coresponding Lifters that also have at least 2k e-cels in cargobay, no use. Same with no homebase.
I set homebases of the Mistrals the Xenon Hub, that has 30000 e-cels, no use.
I even tried to put an universal trader MK3 in every Mistral, let them gain some experience and then use the Resupply command.
What do you think that is the problem?

This is not working for me either, specially the ship never ask me how many ecells I want to resuply. (If I told it that I want ecells to be on those ships)Luke Skyscraper wrote:Supply Command Software:
