The models look great, and homeworld ships with their logical weapon layouts (especially if you're using the PDS layouts) would do wonders in the X verse, but the skins desperately need bump mapping and pixel shading.

This mod here adds those to the base HW2 models, you may be able to use them for this as well, and it's an open project.

Hello all sorry i have to done an update but i was at my G\F's all weekend and work has been a kill for me any way moving on.

I need more testers plz eg. cams work, right turrets work right, ship size is good and any other funny stuff.

is not compatible with B1 or B2 save games but should work with vanilla X3 saves eg: 1.4 and on

BUGS THAT I KNOW OF:
Ru Collector main cam inside of ship no time to fix atm and it is black and white same as the Ru Controller (may also me back the front again no time)
Astranaut is still argon gladiator (FIXED)
Centaur model is broken (FIXED)
Docking path for bentus is bad (fixed soon)
Exiting from the new gates can suck a lot (fixed soon)
no turrets or cams on the following ships hgn_bc, hgn ru controller, dreadnort or the m6 (fixed on weekend coz my g\f is getting her hair done yes!!!)



All will be fixed soon as i stop working on ships (i haven't played the game in 2 months now *sad face* )

"amirite" i would love that it will save me some work but is the .dds file for each ship one or many, and yes we are working on a new race

"Predator02" we will see about the guns when im done with the ships but i promise nothing, BUMP MAPS: i know what u mean they need it so bad i have had a go at it but it just looks funny in game, i think x3 takes bump maps different than most games coz i have tryed like i did in crysis but it does not work i u know any thing plz let me know.

Beta_B3 uploading now and re name of mod to HW2mod coz i will keep the last beta as it only has the ships and some ppl will only want the ships
and once the full mod is done i will release just the ships but atm it is to much work.

NEW SECTORS ARE:
The new sectors are linked with belcor gates to get to them go to the sector with the xenon hub in it and there is a new gate(must start new game till 2.0 comes out)

are the names ok and the new gates r a bit funny atm so just watch it coming out of them.

1. i will change the names later

2.M6? i dont know what that iss to but it looks ok so i will keep it as a transport ship.

3.Docking path for bentus is bad. sorry bout that i will fix it at a later time.

4.normal docks in vayger BC, not the hub. i have been trying to do that but i can get it to work right so i will leave it plus it looks cool and if i do change it then it will mess up all the PIDX for the ship and make like 1-2hrs work redoing the tship entry for it so atm it looks like it will stay that way.

5.why so many NA NA NA NA? dont know y i just did it like that.

6. i will give the ships proper classes.

7. Weapons i know nothing about so if u know some one that does then get them on to it.

8. we will need to wait for the 2.0 patch coz i need some things from it, im running the beta atm.

9.Yes the ships should use some X3 weapons.

Ok, ill see what can i do with weapons...(more tutorials..Smile )
Also it seems that all the Big ships can mount any weapon to any turret.
Ill begin testing my scripts and if they work as i need, i will give them to you to include in next beta, but they will work proper after you finish makin new race.
About Sector name Balcora, in the last movie from HW2 it sais that some kind of gates have been found by Sijjet, that leads to unknown space(Xuniverse in our case), ill see how its name.

About stations, mybe get the Tanis shipyard from HW.

XDV Once I get started on the HW1 ships I am working on (I have all the tools, just need to sit down and start chugging) maybe we can compile them into 1 big HW package?

Anyway, I think if you do the Interceptor, the Energy Bolt Chaingun would be a nice weapon for it. PRG's are annoying and suck your energy dry, whereas the EBC just needs ammo.

Should be an M4+, too. Scout would be an M5.

BUGS THAT I HAVEN'T TOLD U ABOUT:

I haven't put the lil links between sectors on the in game map ( http://www.x3dmod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=64 ) pain in the ass.

there is a ship that is crap and i need to remove it so don't use it (name is M6)

1. only do the weapons if u have time i dont want to push to much on.

2. all ships can use any laser in any turret it has been from the start if u think its to much i will change back, i have it like that so i can see how all the different lasers look and coz its fun not knowing what what lasers a ship will have, cap ship fights or so fun u get all sorts of crap hitting u.

3. i will be fixing all the names and stuff this w\e as well as putting turrets and cams on all the ships and trying to finish them as well i think all up like 10-15hrs work, setting up turrets takes much time.

4. TANIS man u think like me, i was just looking at it the other day so it will be in very soon!!!.

5. i have not played HW2 in like 2yrs coz it runs like crap most older games do for me it sucks so much.

6. tonight is 2yrs for me and my girlfriend so i will not get much done

Stealth you might like mine when I am finished. An M4 class bomber (from HW1) that atm runs 4x CIGs....Not sure if they pack the power I want though for a bomber.....

Sounds good, Id like to have a m4 that packed 4 CIGS be nice just to play with. be interesting to put dual PPCs on it, one on each side in a front or side facing turret in place of CIG. I dunno, been thinking on trying to script/mod...but I dunno...love to fly this guys Bentus though three docking ports for M1/M2 be nice

the drone in my mod runs best with mass driver all round 14 guns on the front

For the most part the Bentusi have been completley demilitarized since the Hiigaran exile in the HW timeline, they used to be able to clean everything no problem.

No problem. And actually the Bentusi trade ship (in HW1 at least) does have rapid fire long range ion cannons but that is as far as shown Bentusi military power.

The Bentusi Keyhole ship in HW2 was the one that origionaly defeated the Hiigarans preceeding their exile.

I personally like the HW1 ship designs better myself, which is why I am working on those Smile

That is the first up I think just because I have always loved it. I still can't decide which would work better, 2ppc, 2 cig, or 4 cig, designed to take out m6 class and up ships.
