"Shuulo" thank u i will add the 0003-0007 file so u can see the names.
As for the mod, Atm i would just like to get all the ships in game first
then move on to the rest.

Lil story that im thinking of:
After the acitvation of the belcore gate, the higarens having
destroyed most of the vager fleet took what was left of it and made an explorer fleet to go into the balcore gate and find any thing left from the progenitors..... what they found was the X-Universe.


I would love some help with this mod coz what im thinking of is going to be so much work so plz any one. I need scripters coz i suck and any one els that would like to help.

it seems that i will have some problem with internet(im moving to another city in next week)
so, give me the links please to scripting tutors, so i can spend some time on it and play with scripts in game without internet to learn how they work

Story is not bad, but you will need a new sector where homeworld party begins, or something like that
what tools have u used to export models from homeworld, is it HWToolbox?

Photoshop Cs2
3dsMax 8 for the ships
unfBig 1.4.1 to dump the big files.
CFHodEd 3.2.0 Tangent export's .dds files, the .hod to .obj and i use 3dsmax to open work on then export into game.

Hey man that's very good um if its ok i will work on the ships coz i have that down pat now and if you could just work on the scripting that would be a big help.

That is the fleet i would like are there any ships u would like in there.

Im thinking that we will need 4-5 sectors (will start 2nite) for our race one of the sectors should be called BELCORE and another sector should be called Higgara the other 2 i dont know and all the new sectors will be linked with belcore gates (working on them now).

i would like to add some of the sound FX from HW2 and some of the soundtracks to the new sectors.

tell me what u think and add to it if u need, i hope to have the new sectors
in B3 so it may take a lil longer i hope end of the week, im also working on some stations for the race and some other things

Ok, ive found many tutors on russian so... say what i have to do and what scripts do you need

also, i think homeworld party must have not too many stations as they have less of them in original, i prefer to see your mobile station in role of station, not ship. Maby call it Deep Space Outpost(its just for example, my english is bad, so call it more... nice), and in homeworld it is vayger, so maybe vaygers can be included too (story: the last of vaygers fled from hiigaran wrath to unknown universe... or something like that:)

we need to do text files for scripts in code 44 only,just not to get lost as we going to change them rapidly, so russian version i will translate after some more progress

tell me how you will add new sectors?

we need more ships:

(small TL) Mobile refineris(of both races) pay attention to 2 docks only for TS
Ru collectors(of both races) TS
Hiigara mothership(pride of hiigara)
Hiigara carrier(TL or M1)
and vayger carrier and flagship

last 2 ships r not needed for now, but we will need them in future

something about credits... ill try to do script that uses mobile refinery (youll need to input it ingame) as base for 2 RU collectors.
refinery must have 2 front guns with mobile drilling system only, it will crush asteroids into pieces, collectors will take them and bring to refineri, script will see what minerals it unloads and give credits for them(minerals will be lost)
1 ore=500-2000 cr
1 silicon=2000-5000 cr
1 nividium=15000-50000 cr
tell how do you think of mineral cost

and we need to make new weapons, so Cmod will be deinstalled tonight Smile

maybe you have to chek are your text files free to use in Script Library
id like to see homeworld mod in Library too so try to submit it and reserv some text and page IDs for mod

downloading last verion now, ill look at it 2nite


also i didnt liked to see bentus in HGN fleet, its different
what is M8 Drednoret as of Alpha B3?
M0 Mobile station make a really station
Drone... really dont what to do with it, only add Progrnitor race Very Happy
Try to make ships generaly as they are in HW2(hiigaran dont have Progenitor drone), give hiigaran only sajuk, coz they captured it
BELCORA is BALCORA in HW2


If you want, I can try call help from russian HW2 or X3 community, maybe they can give some ideas and help, just if you want to

Hello my friend 1st things 1st we have id's 5900--5911,50103--50126,50200--50220 for ships and names and stuff
the new land file will be 3195-L044 and 3195-L007 should be enuf for now.

i will try and get race3.

1. For the scripting part we will need a defense force (like RRF), something like conflicts would be nice to i think but just for higgaran, point to point jump drive (hyperspace), i like sector take over that should be it for now thank u.


2. i was thinking bout how the higgarans got all the ships, well after that last battle in HW2 they whent round the HW2 universe assimilated all of the other races in to the Higgaran civ so that is y they have vayger ships and as for bentus i was thinking that they liked how it looked so the made one for them self.

3. i think ur right they only need 3-5 station types eg. SY, EQ, Trade Station, Outpost (weapons platform) ,?????.

4. i have found a way to add more sectors without having to start a new game i will send u a PM.

5. mineral cost is good i think and i like all of that part.

6. M8 Drednoret as of Alpha B3, should say beta B3( next one not out yet still working on it).

7. i will start work on the new ships asap i will just get them ingame then work on the turrets.

Here some new loadscreens, they are from HW briefings. Its resolution is not good but for now its enough.

I already have some progres in mineral collecting script, but ill make it in some different way, coz it will be easier without refinery to break asteroids, collectors will just unload minerals on it. So i need 2 front guns for RU collectors with MDS only.

Heavy frigate looks like doubeled vayger destroyer, maybe leave it as it was in HW.

M6? i dont know what is that, it was not in HW
Docking path for bentus is bad, ship flies trouh it.
also try to make normal docks in vayger BC, not the hub

If you agree, it will be good to leave real names:
Strike cruiser - Sajuuk
Heavy frigate - Vayger destroyer
etc..etc..etc..

why so many NA NA NA NA? Laughing

How you add new sectors and what are their coordinates?

we need to give ships proper classes
Bentusi and motherships - M1(M0)
Sajuuk, HGN VGR and other BCs - M2
Destroyers - M7
Marine frigates - M7M(smaller than destroyers)
Frigates - M6
Corveets(HGN gunshig, multigun covreet) - M3+
Bombers and elite fighters(Prog. drone etc) - M3
interceptors - M4
scouts - M5
Ru collectors - TS
Refineries - TL(small)
Carriers - TL(with many fighter docks and 1 corveet dock(coz corveets are frigates:) )

Are you agree with it?

Also, we need new weapons... will we left Cmod3 for our mod or make a new one? If we are going to change Cmod we must ask permission?

We need this guns:
Interceptor machingun
Gun corveet cannon
Ion cannon(not like in Cmod, but as in Lasertower)
Destroyer heavy cannon
Lance weapons(lancer interceptors, pulsar corveets)

There is some ReservedLaser1 and 2, can we remake them? also we can change weapons not availeble in game like Tribeam etc...

But TC 2.0 is coming, maybe be wise to wait until relise and after that change weapons.

Do you want for HW ships use X3 weapons too? maybe not all of it?

To XDV:

How is progres?

I notised some bugs in B2:
Astranaut is still argon gladiator:)
Centaur model is broken:(?

Ive almost finished my work on resource collecting script and point to point hyperspace it only needs testing and implamation, when will be B3 ready?
I need new ships and their sectors to try it, please add to HW party sectors asteroids, for them to mine.

I think in that way:
HW party will have their own cash with what they will build ships and station(al plugin will take care of), but they will have some ship count limits(example, limit on M4 - 100 - 200, M3 - 80-150 etc, or make it bigger?). In the beginning i will give them few(4-6) M2-M7, but they will not build a new one until they have more cash. in firs houers(maybe days) they will build only small fighters etc. After they get enough ships they will try to capture other races sectors.
Ill try to make it compatible with LVs RRF to bring more fun.

Hey, I've got a few ripped HW2 models if it's of any help. I made them for another game a long time ago and only ended up getting like three of them. I think I have the Hiigaran Mothership, Hiigaran Interceptor, and the Vaygr flagship. I'll see if I can scrape them up. Homeworld 2 races would go great in X3 as their own race.
