If i have wings attacking ships or patroling does my rep increase without me there?
like it says.. if i send a wing of ships to kill some other enemy ships will i get money or reputation for killing them? like pirates in argon or something like that or do i have to kill them myself?
False.Catra wrote:you get the rep and cash if other stuff owned by you delivers the killing blow.
I've just witnessed, OOS, a fight between a Heavy Centaur patrol of mine in Ore Belt and a Kha'ak cluster that spawned on top of it and I have yet to see those payments of 500 credits for each scout destroyed. Scouts are still getting killed and my account hasn't gained a dime. And yes, I do have the Argon license...
I've always wondered this myself, but this time I'm not in the middle of a boarding operation or an attack in the Kha'ak/Xenon sectors so I was able to actually pay attention to this bug/design flaw.
You get the rep but not the police license bounty. However, you do get mission cash rewards for any mission-related kills that are done by your AI-controlled ships.Catra wrote:you get the rep and cash if other stuff owned by you delivers the killing blow.
It's neither a bug nor a design flaw. Police license bounties are there strictly to reward the player for his/her personal kills.Thunders wrote:....

Have a great idea for the current or a future game? You can post it in the [L3+] Ideas forum.
X4 is a journey, not a destination. Have fun on your travels.

Getting 10k credits as bounty for destroying a Carrack/Galleon/Brigantine/etc spawned by assassination missions isn't a design flaw either?
Heck, I'd accept the excuse that I get payed for the mission itself, but what about when ships of that type wander into friendly sectors (Elena's Fortune, etc), I turn them into dust and STILL get payed as if they were M3 class?
