help
iv tried with the medium script, downloaded that, then extract all to, my computer, local disk c, program files, egosoft, x3 terran conflict folder, once its in x3 tc folder i can see 2 folders plus all the other script folders ect. x3 terran conflict folder, inside that is director folder, inside that is a xml document 130kb, the second folder sais hub medium but there is nothing inside that, when i downloaded the easy hub script i get the first x3 terran conflict folder plus the director and xml doc but no second one marked hub easy, to see whether it works iv got a save where im docked at the hub with the 500 nividian, i then transfer that to the hub but it still comes up deliver 750 000 crystals, and mentally i would go insane if i had to deliver that lot. hope my description helps. not sure what you meen about the folder maybe lower down. cheers

Thats ok. Its loaded correctly I think.
First thing to check is if its just the mission briefing thats wrong. So try delivering 750 crystals and see if that moves it to the next one.
If not, do you still have a save from before being given the nvidium mission ? Both the Nvidium and the crystals are in the same block of code, so its possible its read both of them and wont check the file again until after the crystals are done.
Thats the trouble with an already running script. Its hard to tell when it will refresh itself, and I have to admit, I dont know enough about missions to know that.

this sounds like a good option for hard (easier than standard/v hard)NeverSnake wrote:Cutting the original requirements by a factor of 10 would make a good medium difficulty.
i.e.
40 computer components, 50 microchips, 15,000 teladianium, 45,000 ore, 75,000 crystals, 40,000 silicon and 8,500 microchips.
would it be possible for me to edit one medium script in a text editor or is there more to it?

Hi Apricotslice,
Thanks for your 'lower hub requirements' files. IMHO the original requirements are a bit too much collect once, let alone in multiple playthrough. However i do think the Easy and Medium are a bit too easy for me.
I've been reading about a [hard] version of the 'lower hub reqs' idea and with the help of Neversnake and Marc___1's numbers came up with this simple list of numbers which i think would keep the entire thing entertaining enough while maintaining a challenge. I hope it helps. As you see i kept some of the lower requirements unchanged as they do not really need altering IMHO.
Stage 1:
400 Computer components (unchanged)
500 Microchips (unchanged)
Stage 2:
15.000 Teladianium (original value divided by 10)
45.000 Ore (original value divided by 10)
Stage 3:
500 nividium (unchanged)
75.000 Crystals (original value divided by 10)
Stage 4:
40.000 Silicon wafers (original value divided by 10)
8.500 Microchips (original value divided by 10)
Sadly, i have no skillzzz in editing .xml files. I opened the 'medium hub req' file in an xml editor and felt dizzy staring at all those numbers and commands.
Thanks,
Alderon

Will it work with already started hub plot?
I've done it without modding up to crystal phase, but now i think i've had enough. I'm not a stranger to huge 200+ station complexes, but the waiting required to produce those 750K crystals (what, at least 100 hours?) is killing me.
Funny thing is, the previous steps were pretty much easy, and the remaining wouldn't have caused too much trouble also, as silicone is easy to produce with enough spare energy, and i'll have more than enough microchips by the time i finish with it. Guess, 75K-125K crystals would've been much more sane.

This is also weird in the standard game. There wasn't any message or anything. I also wondered how I could do it, even trying a different ship, when I finally looked into the freight bay of my first ship, and there he already was, not saying anything.rudy12345 wrote:When i deliver the last load of microchips with the easy plot installed it wont let me pick up Mahi Mi to take him back to kingdoms end
i havent played in a while so i might be trying to load mahi mi wrong can someone refresh me on how to load him
