Sorry, but this simply can't be true. First of all you should distinguish between scripts and mods. It's important as X3TC and X3AP share some files and folders. However scripts don't belong to that category. Most of Lucike's stuff are scripts including the EST. X3TC and X3AP have both a seperate scripts and t folder. Scripts and t-files installed to X3TC won't have any effect on X3AP and vice versa.

I'm having problems using EST. When I select a ship and go to the trade menu, the option shows up but it's greyed out and I can't select it. The hotkeys for the mod e.g. to show an overview etc. show up in the control options so I think it has installed fine, but I can't get it to work.

I have tried cheating just to test different things and given myself all the possible equipment but nothing stops it from being greyed out. One strange thing I have found is that when I inspect the freight of a trader, it will show that it has navigational software but as far as trading goes, it will only show Trade Command Software mk2 and mk3. I have tried cheating to remove and add mk1 to see if that makes any difference but it doesn't.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Some ships have Trade Command Software Mk1 built in. That is why you might not see it in cargo.

Are your EST ships docked when you start them? They must be docked, supposedly "so that they can hire a pilot". (Although I suspect that they may need to be docked even if you transfer a pilot.)

Hey, i've just started using trade mk3 and would like to download this script, but the link is broken, it just comes up with a 404 error when i click it.
anyone else getting this problem? and if the link can't be fixed, could anyone just email me the script at:

Thanks so much for the help! I had tried reinstalling the game so many times, trying different combinations of mods and everything... can't believe I didn't try docking it first. Embarassed

Here is a small script that I use for exactly that job. It instantly trains new UT, EST, and Prospector pilots. It does not fully train them, but it trains them far enough that they can use a jump drive.

This is developer-quality only. It has no user interface, so either run it from the Script Editor or use the included patch (see below). If you can install it and run it, then you can probably make it do what you need. If nothing else, it is well-documented. Smile

I included a "patch" file that automatically trains Pilot Union pilots (EST, Prospector, etc.). I did not make a patch for Universal Traders but it would be fairly easy to do after you look at the Pilot Union patch. If you use the included patch for Pilot Union, then BACKUP THE ORIGINAL FILE BEFORE YOU OVERWRITE IT.

(Please do not complain to Lucike if this does not work as you expect it to work!)

Hello everybody.
After a break from the X-Universe I have just installed Albion P. and I am now looking into what script from TC is compatible with it.

I've read in the thread "Mods (TC) found to work with Albion Prelude..." that this one is compatible, however I have some questions:

- Which version should I download, is the latest one from http://www.xuniversum.info/ the best option?

- Is there anything different that I need to do when installing it for AP?

- I see 4 of Lucike's scripts in the Bonus Package. Is it better to install those or the newer versions on his site (if there are any)?
Are the libraries still needed for his script in the bonus package and if not would installing them cause any issues?

Most scripts are compatible with AP. The few that are not are usually well-marked. There is no need to ask... just try it.

Scripts, types, t, and director folders in AP are all under addon. So install files into addon\scripts, addon\types, addon\t, and addon\director.

"Better" depends on whether you mind having a "modified" tag on your game. If you do not care about "modified", then the versions on Lucike's site are the most current (meaning most bug fixes and updates).

The bonus pack includes the libraries required for the bonus pack.

No, there is no problem in installing the libraries over the bonus pack.

Yes, you *must* use the most recent libraries (from Lucike's site) for most of the scripts from his site.

Does this mod do anything for automated universe traders? I tried it out and all it seemed to do is reset my UTs and oh them in standby. I thought it worked with trade command mkiii to automate everything.
