I've run into the same problem with EST docking up and not doing anything once pilots get to Freighter Pilot - I think I'll just fire the pilot, wait for the new one to get to one rank below max, and turn off training for now..
Edit: I deleted the pilot's profit record as a random idea, and the Freighter Pilot started running around and trading again. Have no idea why it would do that, but it did..
ReEdit: It seems only capable of running energy however.

Yesterday this script was running fine for me, but today I started a new game and tried to use this script, the option for start economy supply and trade is greyed out. I have the navMK1 trade MK1 and MK2 fighter MK1 and MK2 installed on the ship i want to use. the only new thing i did was updated the CLS version that was recently released. would that have something to do with it beeing greyed out? im running EST V3b02.

I have a problem with one of my traders, he was assigned as a CAG for my complex, got to FP status. He messages me constatly asking which product to trade, I though FPs were smart enough to figure it out automagically...

if not you have to assign manually (in which case you should add at least some major foodstuffs). it is improbable however, that you have to assign more than say 5 products because EST will almost always find one of the first five (algorithm is like
- look if first ware yields profitable run
- if not, look at second ware...
- if not, ...

Hi, had a problem with my EST going on idle at a shipyard.
He is Frieght Pilot class. There was some hull damage, so i fixed it and that got him going again, but your manual says that at that class he should be able to do it himself.
A problem?

I'm wondering... is the Trader smarter than the normal NPC traders/ST/UT traders? What I noticed, and what I'm interested in is this: A Trader will look for a product to buy (lets say.. energy cells). He finds a SPP that has energy cells for 12cr. He sets his destination -> go to (this) SPP and buy e-cells. Before he gets there, some other Trader buys energy cells and the price is now 16cr. The game Traders will buy anyway (ie: they don't double-check the price before buying). Will these guys?

If the Trader could make a good Trade by buying the now 16 Cr. EC, by selling them for 18-19 Cr., he is still buying EC, but when the price is too high ( 18-19 ) for a good Trade, he is searching for something else.
@Malkuth74:
The best ware is different for different Regions.
But a beginner isn`t very effective and so I only search for Regions, he could fly a lot to gaining Rank and not really Profit.
EC is a good choice, but others could be better.

Is there any way to simply add "all sectors owned by Pirates" to the Exceptions? It's a pain in the butt adding them one at a time for every Trader. if there's not, we need that in the next update.

Heya, okay I have been testing and the EST works great, better then great. I didn't try in this version, but the last version there were problems with the MK3 overriding the EST. I haven't checked since the new version. Now I just don't use the MK3 at all, I only use EST and just set all the wares I want and they do the job. I have made about 400 million from my EST's in the past couple of days.
