[UPD: 22.10.08] X3 TC Data Sheets 1.1

Post by XGamer »

I took myself some time and created some Data Sheets and Tables for X3 Terran Conflict ;)

Currently included are:
  • Full List of Asteroids, their Position, Ressources and so on.
  • Full List of all Gates, their Position and Target Sector.
  • Sectormap
  • Full Weapon List with all Stats
  • Full Ship List with all Stats Warning! May contain heavy Spoilers!
Im already working on even more lists.

Its an Excel File and you need either Microsoft Excel 2007 or the latest Excel Viewer which can be downloaded for free at the Microsoft Homepage.

Download

If you got any Ideas for more Sheets or found some Mistakes: Let me know ;)

X:BtF: 7/10 | X2: 8/10 | X3:R/TC/AP: 8/10 | X:R: 3/10 | X4: 0/10 (3 points for split ships and stations, 4.0 -> -50 points).
If you are raising pirate activity, give me meaningful ways to deal with them PERMANENTLY. Better things to do than replacing ships every 10 minutes, or babysitting ships getting harassed.
Stopped playing X4 with 4.0 due to outrageous, needless and pointless nerfs to everything. Don't change what wasn't broken in the first place.

Greetings XGamer,

Tried to download from the link you supplied, but it seems there was a problem. Something you could fix? Coz I wouldn't mind getting a hold of it from the description. :)

Aren't most of the stations and asteroids in X3 and X3TC generated randomly per game?

That and a weapons data sheet would be most useful.

Choljah: I just tried to download the file and everything seemed fine. Please try it again maybe even with a different Browser. Also note you need to type the Letters from the Image into the Textbox in order to download.

Bertone: You mean all Ships that are in the Game with Stuff like Max Speed etc?

Wolf-R1: As for Stations: They can be destroyed / rebuild etc by GOD but as for asteroids I doubt they're randomized. If you can proove me wrong plz do so ;)

Warped: Weapon Sheet... will think about it :)

I'm pretty sure the Asteroids are set. They were in Reunion at least. Every game I played, I built the same Silicon Mine in Ore Belt every time in every game.

This is just a screenshot from the excel sheet im using to fiddle with balance numbers. I wasn't concerned with speed or energy consumption so unfortunately those numbers are not listed. Also note that the fragmentation weapons (Cluster Flak Array, for example) use 'subsidiary' Bullets which are also not listed so take their DPS with a grain of salt.

The Flamethrower and Phased Shockwave Cannon both inflict massive #s of hits per shot on a single target so their damage #s do not accurately reflect their ingame performance. The only way to examine their damage potential is through testing.

Mild spoilers regarding the unnamed (Terran) weapons:
Spoiler
Show
EMP is the Electromagnetic Plasma Cannon
MAM is the Matter/Antimatter Bomb Launcher
TERANTIFIGHTER is the Starburst Cannon

These weapons are unnamed because there are 'experimental' versions of each of them used by plot enemies I am unsure which of the two entries is the player weapon and which is the enemy weapon so I've decided to delay labeling them.
I'm not actually sure what the PAL is, though. Heh.

The _1s aren't the real ones. The ones without _1s are the player ones.

Thanx very much for this. Greatly helps planning.

The spreadsheet appears password-protected, and therefore none of the filters work. I can get around thios, but can other users?

I would like factories data too! (Please ... :)

All Filters should work perfectly fine. What Sheet exactly do you mean where the Filters arent working?

HelloXGamer, and Thanx again for your spreadsheet of X3TC game data.

For me, none of the filters work, except for the Asteroids tab (in German).

I have also noticed some repetition on the TS class lists. This can be seen when sort by "Race" and happens because two different speeds are quoted for each ship, leading to double-entries.

Also the MAX speeds are incorrect for most ships, because the figures quoted are for the MIN speed before upgrading.

It is a real pity X3TC does not include any ability to compare information about the weapons, ships, load-outs in a form easily assessable to players. Pictures of each ship are especially useful and are missing. No one knows how big these ships are compared to each other.

:( Who goes into combat without at least a vague idea "silhouettes" of friends and foes?

Nevertheless, your spreadsheet is a GREAT resource :) - thank you very much. I have already used it to plan which race(s) I will alley with.

Impressive work Xgamer,

did you enter all those ROFs manually :o

I'm also finding the sheet to be password protected, though.

Minor typo - "Tranport class" on Ships page.
I have also noticed some repetition on the TS class lists. This can be seen when sort by "Race" and happens because two different speeds are quoted for each ship, leading to double-entries.
This is because there are two different "Tanker" and two different "Super Freighter" class TSes per race.

Thanks for that impressive work!

I hope you have an automatic way of extracting the data. I wouldn't even dream of doing this manually.

And the file is indeed password protected. This affects the filters in the Pivot Table ("X3 TC Asteroids Filter"), not the regular autofilters in the other spreadsheets. Ah well, copy-paste is my friend :D

Cheers!

XGamer.

The reason there are "two" entries appears because for example the Argon Mercury Super-freighter can be bought as S, M , L variants. Differing ONLY in initial equipment and upgrades (and therefore price).

But ALL versions can be upgraded to the MAX speed and CARGO (for the class) and S, M, L variation is NOT a restriction on MAX speed, only initial purchase speed. (I am sure you already know this.) Its not really a problem :)

For me, the spreadsheet IS locked, and requires a password to use filters.

The Excel 2007 Ribbon is also "greyed-out." The pivot-table IS sortable, but the regular filters are not.

Easy to bypass, though as Chernish (Thu, 23. Oct 08, 09:00) said simply copy and paste each worksheet into a new workbook.

After I put all the data into a *new* workbook, I sorted by ship class and then stripped the ship data into separate tabs, one for each ship class M3, M4, M5, M6 etc because usually I am not interested in absolute values like MAX speed but a combination of parameters in comparison to get the "best" ship overall for the class. Hence my fleets are a real ragtag bag of the best ship in each class from different races. :P

Thanks again for the spreadsheet. XGamer rocks!

Well, not exactly. In X3R, each race had two "super freighters", with differing stats. One had a larger cargo bay, for example. Since TC has all the R ships (and more), I can only assume it's still the case. Not having looked at Tships that much, I can't confirm it.

The "S/M/L" thing has nothing to do with the level of ship, but the level of equipment installed on the ship when you buy it.
