Kyons for sale?!

I was overseeing my Properties screen and was watching my UT making choice what to buy next and I couldn't belive my eyes: one of the choices was Kyons! Has anybody seen anything like that?

He just scrolls through all the equipment items. Doesn't mean anyone is actually selling them!

I just recently capped a khaak M3. REed it, built one and now all i need are weapons for it. I wish there were somewhere to buy them. That would be a lot easier than going into khaak sectors trying to blow up destroyers and hoping they drop some.

Khaak Kyons, hah I can say this, if you find Kyons on sale and you have enough credits, buy them if not destroy khaak ships and get them cause you can bet your life that 99.9% of the galaxy don't have them.

Depending on the kyon type you can have some kick ass weapons or don't bother weapons.

but they are extremely hard to find.

this is what i did, capped a scout and intercept,

the scout has 1 gun
intercept had 1 gun

put them both on centuar and made them using a script :wink:

XTM has the Faunas (or however you spell that) which is a mobile weapon forge.

You stick a weapon on there, and the resources to build it, and that ship will begin producing them for you. Not all weapons can be built on it, though.

The destroyer with Gamma Kyon Emitter can't defeat the Titan with Gamma Photon Pulse Cannon, isn't it?

PPCs have longer range and more damage per second, but Kyons can't be avoided. That isn't saying much since NPC ships evade about as much as a sleeping cow, however.

Some pilots claim gKyon turrets easy to dodge. And now that I think of it, I've dodged (momentarily) gKyons with vanilla Phoenix. That was weird.


KM2 vs Titan. Now that depends on how they are flown.

Well I remember flying around a KM2 with a starburst and the Kyons were doing next to no damage, so lateral movement has some effect.

I was half braindead when I typed that. :D Didn't mean to say you couldn't, but rather it's much more difficult. You're not outrunning the beam, but rather outpacing the rotation speed of the turret.
