How much time (usually) between XI missions?

I started a new game recently and found an XI mission.

However, since finishing that mission, I've not been able to find another one in any of the usual suspects:

Getsu Fune, Menelaus Frontier, S.P.G., Black Hole Sun, the one south of S.P.G. whos name I can't remember...

I know you only get one advertised at a time, but I've been jumping from sector to sector and haven't had much success finding another one.

Do they take a long time to recharge?

I believe it's 12 game hours, but I could be wrong.

It seems to be between 6 and 12 hours.

Cool. I guess there's a couple of reasons for the delay.

1. To allow sectors to recover (they sometimes lose stations, etc.)
2. To stop us accruing rediculous amounts of money in the matter of a few hours.

You don't actually need to visit both Eighteen Billion and Scale Plate Green anyway--they're both Teladi sectors, so an XI reported in one will also be reported in the other!

I did an XI today and netted about 13.7 Million. But the weird thing about it was that it was a Jumping-J XI mission.

Every time the J would jump back in, it brought more Ls and Ms with it. Had quite a tough time getting the J finally killed. It kept jumping back out.

My question is, can you just mop up an infinite amount of money by just simply not killing the J? The mission didn't stop until I killed the J. 79 ships + the J. But could it have gone on?
