Teladi Talk
Chapter 16

The drones had been picked up and Josh and Sherry were waiting on the Teladi who was due to arrive at any time.
[Sarah] “You have a urgent message from Ban Danna.” [Josh] “I’ll take it in my office.”

Josh opened the message. “Josh we have used the drones and would like to order 30 more. They have out preformed all of our expectancies in a drone making the Xenon look like a group trainees. These new drones and missiles will give us a opportunity to take the battle to them soon. Good Job!
Signed Ban Danna”

[Josh] “Sarah send a message to Ban Danna telling him he can pick up 20 drones at HQ now and the other 10 in thirty hours. And build twenty extra for stock.”
Josh walked out of his office with a smile on his face.
[Sherry] “Why you so happy?” [Josh] “The Argon Navy just placed an order for 30 more heavy drones. And are about to invade the Xenon sector taking the battle to them. If they can damage the Xenon Shipyard in the first attack it’s game over for the Xenon.”

[Josh] “Sarah contact Ban Danna tell him we need to talk before I leave I may have the answer to his prayers.”
Moments later Ban Danna jumped into the sector and docked with the TL.
[Ban Danna] “Well what’s so important?”
[Josh] “I have one more toy for you. I been working on a WMD torpedo and had decided to but it on the back burner till now. Do you know where the Xenon Shipyard is?”
[Ban Danna] “Of course it was the first thing we looked for!”
[Josh] “I can build a special heavy drone with a warhead that will take out or damage the Xenon Shipyard so bad you won’t have to worry about it.”
[Ban Danna] “What do you want or need to build it?”
[Josh] “Nothing. Just give me the position of the shipyard. And come back in five hours to pick it up.
I suggest you send two drones as guards when launching it for safety.”
[Ban Danna] “Can I just wait on it here?”

Sherry took Ban Danna to the Lounge and sat with him while Josh went down to the cargo hole and started work. A new Mercury was waiting with two heavy drones onboard like Josh asked for. Four and half hours later Josh came back up explaining to Ban Danna. “It’s ready just don’t let your men be within a 5km radius of the shipyard when it blows or they’ll be destroyed with it.”

[Ban Danna] “5km radius! Is it safe to transport?”
[Josh] “Yes it’s safe. The drones on the Mercury have been programmed to escort the bomb. You’re all set Sir good luck.”
[Ban Danna] “You’re a scary man Josh I’m glade you’re on our side. Thank you!” As he saluted Josh and left.
[Sherry] “Did you do something wrong Josh you look worried?”
[Josh] “What about next time they need a bomb and it’s a ship full of soldiers or a battleground. I just don’t want to be responsible for making a weapon that can take out a 5km radius. If the wrong person got his hands on one and placed it in a heavily populated area it could kill a million people in a second.”
[Sherry] “Then don’t make anymore.”
[Josh] “I wish it was that simple. What if the President ask for ten of the torpedo’s to secure our borders from attacks. No I let the genie out of the bottle things will be different now. You shoot that bad boy down your dead along with anything in a 5km radius. Yes I am worried about the consequences of my actions. I want to save lives not be the one who invented a killer of millions.”

[Sherry] “I think you’re over reacting a little the Army and Navy already have bombs capable of doing that.”
[Josh] “Yes I know by my bomb is a clean bomb! After it explodes you can clean up the mess without having to wear a radiation suit.”
[Sherry] “That’s not a bad thing Josh it sounds like a good thing. Millions of lives are lost to radiation poisoning every time some nut decides to slug it out with his neighbor.”
[Josh] “I know they have bombs that can do a 100 times more damage. I know I’m over reacting and playing the what if game. There is one thing about the torpedo it going to cost over 80,000 credits and it will not be sold to the public.”

Sherry and Josh were about to go back to the lounge when the Teladi cleared the Gate and hailed Josh.
Josh hailed the Teladi and asked permission to dock with his ship or transport over and discuss the tour.
After he close to a safe distance Josh transported over.
“Hello Sir my name is Josh Galen.” [Teladi] “Hello human I am Company Director Tyne.”
[Josh] “Your English is very good Director.”
[Director] “I have been studying your native tongue. Please call me Lobo my name is Lobo Tyne.”

Josh explained to Lobo his plan. Lobo was satisfied with the arrangement.
Josh asked Lobo if he knew Director Moa. Lobo asked Josh? “Do you work for Moa human?”
[Josh] “No sir. I did a job for her ounce. I can’t talk about it but I won’t be working for Moa ever again.”
[Lobo] “I have spy tell me all about you and job you lucky to be alive Mr. Galen Moa not a good egg. Moa rotten from first hatch.”
[Josh] “I know a little about you Director Tyne. I found out you and Moa use to team up when you started out. And then parted ways after your climb up the ladder of success. Will you tell me about it some time?”

[Lobo] “Lobo think you know some but not why. When Teladi was new to ways of life I made many bad choices in jobs and friends. Moa was bad choice. Made lots of credits with Moa. Moa bad egg!”

[Josh] “Director Tyne we are ready to leave when ever you are Sir.”
[Lobo] “Good we can leave now. I tell you more about Moa later. When she find out Lobo in sector with you she be mad at you. You got away from Moa she no like loose ends. You small loose end. Lobo big loose end and want to live in peace but Moa bad egg. You know Moa bad egg you see how Moa work out problem. Moa kill, steal or destroy everything in her way she bad egg.”

[Josh] “What about her daughter? Is she a bad egg?”
[Lobo] “No she good egg! Not like Moa. I’m ready to leave now.”
Josh transported back to the Zipper and set course for the planet. The M6 would make the trip much longer but not having to deal with the Directors servants onboard was worth the wait.

Josh thought as he sit in the cockpit of the Zipper looking at the planet which looked like a bright dot in space from the gates position. Lobo was quick to take up for daughter of Moa. Most of the time blood is thicker than water. If you hate my parent I hate you and you hate me. Why would Lobo and the daughter be on friendly terms when Moa wanted Lobo dead? Then it occurred to Josh.
[Josh] “Sarah is it possible for the daughter of Moa to be Lobo’s child?”
[Sarah] “The time period is right. The birth certificate says she came from a sperm bank.”
[Josh] “Do a facial comparison between Moa and Lobo to the daughter.”
[Sarah] “There’s a 90% match between the two and the daughter.”
[Josh] “That’s to big of a percent to be a likelihood. Check the blood types.”
[Sarah] “Lobo and the daughter have the same blood type. Less than 8% of Teladi have that blood type.”

Josh under stood now why Lobo said the daughter was a good egg she was his daughter. And the daughter had lead a respectable lifestyle nothing like her mother. But the daughter now was the sector director the mother had managed for so long. Moa had tried to withdraw from the leader ship roll in the sector until the past came back to haunt her. And Moa did as Lobo said killed her enemies and destroyed the evidence.
[Josh] “Sarah the people that escaped the pirate station Moa destroyed. How many are still alive?”
[Sarah] “Two are still alive.” Josh felt a great since of grief as he heard the reply.
[Josh] “Which two?”
[Sarah] “Mimi and the Teladi female that took over the weed business.” [Josh] How!
[Sarah] “All the deaths were linked to by a pair of assassins who had managed to make the murders look like accidents until one blew himself up killing the two brothers and their families. The other was killed by Mimi’s brother as he rammed his M5 into the assassins fighter killing them both. Mimi’s freighter took heavy damage in the attack before her brother rammed the assassin. She was taken to the Trading Station in Presidents End and is in critical in condition but will live. She will need reconstructive surgery to her face and body for the burns.”
[Josh] “Sarah get a message to her tell her of the danger and sign it the Rock. Send a undercover agent to the Trading Station to get her. Make the records show she died as a result of her injuries and the body was cremated. Give her a new ID as one of our Pilots and have here brought to the TL to finish her surgery and recovery. Tell the Chief he has a badly injured guest and to keep the crew away from her room. Let her help pick out her new face to go with her new identity. Tell me when she’s on the TL.”

Sherry knocked on the door. “Josh come out here with me and eat you been in there a long time.”
Josh unlocked the cabin door asking. “What did you fix?”
[Sherry] “I fixed myself a shelf’s salad see. Do you want one?” [Josh] “Sure that looks good.”
Josh sat down as Sherry brought him a salad to eat before they called it a day.
[Sherry] “What was the Teladi like?” [Josh] “You’re kidding right he’s a Teladi. He acted like a normal Teladi Government official looking to do business. You’ll meet him next cycle lets clean up and get some rest. You can use the shower first.”
Sherry smiled as she kissed Josh and went to get ready for bed. Josh sat and tried to unwind as he sipped a warm soothing drink that was suppose to relax him. Sherry fixed herself one of the drinks to enjoy while Josh took his shower. Josh came out and sat back down.
[Sherry] “Josh you look so tense you all right?” Sherry got up and started rubbing Josh’s neck and shoulders. [Josh] “I am a little tense Sherry thanks.” As Sherry rubbed his shoulders she noticed Josh got real loose. She looked he was asleep. [Sherry] “Josh get up and go to bed.”
Sherry watched as Josh rambled into his room. Sherry went into her room as the cleaning drone came out and started work.
The next day started uneventful and after breakfast Josh got out his guitar and started playing.
[Sherry] “I didn’t know you could play a guitar.” [Josh] “I been picking around a little when I need to unwind and take it easy which is not as often as I want.”
[Sherry] “Sounds good to me do you know any songs?” Josh played two songs that he liked for Sherry.
[Sherry] “Josh that was good and I have heard a few superstar guitarist who have played for the President. Is there anything you’re not good at Josh?”
[Josh] “Of course. I am at a loss when it comes to women.” [Sherry] “I don’t think so Josh.”
As Sherry sat down in Josh’s lap facing him with her legs spread over his leaned down and placed a passionate kiss on his lips. As Josh rapped his arms around Sherry and kissed her pulling her close against his chest the COM sounded. “Sherry you have an urgent message from the President.”
[Sherry] “I can’t believe the timing! I better take it.” As she kissed Josh and went to her room.

[Josh] “Sarah what’s the status on Mimi?” [Sarah] “She has just arrived in the sector and the ship will be docking in the next five minutes. Her face is covered in bandages so no one will be able to identify her.”
[Josh] “Have the ship do a fly by and transport her to medical from the ship. Then have the pilot return home and erase all the records of the mission.” [Sarah] “Understood relaying orders.”

Sherry returned from her room with a frown on her face.
[Josh] “What’s wrong Sherry?”
[Sherry] “The Teladi Government has filed a formal protest against Director Tyne. They don’t like him transferring all his credits into Argon banks. They think he is defecting. He sold all his Teladi Company stocks and cashed in or sold all the other stocks he owned and placed the credits in several different Argon banks.”
[Josh] “Well he is in a way. But I don’t blame him one bit. What are your instructions?”
[Sherry] “Talk to him and try and find a way to defuse the situation somehow.”
[Josh] “There’s now way to defuse it! All they see is a lot of credits leaving their banks and they don’t like it! Do you want me to ask him to transport over so you two can try to think of something?”
[Sherry] “Yes please. Thanks Josh.”

Josh hailed the Director and informed him of the complaint and transported him over. After watching Sherry and Lobo go at it for two hours Josh said. “I have an ideal do you want to hear it?”
[Lobo] “Yes please.” Josh asked Sherry to go into her room for a few minutes so they could talk in privet. Sherry reluctantly turned and went into her room and closed the door.

[Josh] “Director we both know this is about credits you have them and they want them back. You have stored up great wealth for yourself Director. But you know at death all the wealth in the universe is nothing. Into this world we come with nothing and we leave with nothing. I have a strategy for you director. The Teladi Company is up in arms about you taking your credits and leaving. I know you are growing old in days and your life in this world will end soon and I know Moa is out to kill you.
I understand your predicament I also know you have a daughter and that makes it all the more complicated.”

[Lobo] “What do you suggest Mr. Galen?”
[Josh] “Return half of your great wealth to the Teladi. But do the way you wanted to. You wanted to leave your wealth to various charities when you die. So start a charity for the Teladi anything you want. Make it known through advertisements requesting suport but make your gift a big one. Then give each Company Director some credits to increase the Teladi Company assets. The credits is all they want and when you poor some back into Teladi Space they will give you there blessing. Moa is a problem I can help you with only by offering you the best security service in the universe.”
[Lobo] “Lobo no like it but know you speak the truth. I do what I have to send government woman back in so we work deal out with Company. Mr. Galen keep Lobo’s daughter secret?”
[Josh] “Yes Sir I’ll keep your secret.”

Lobo and Sherry worked on a agreement with the Teladi Company for two days while the Director tried to view the planet between the negotiating. After three days they reached an settlement costing Lobo half his fortune. The negotiating added two more days to the tour but the three had formed a relationship because of the ordeal. The rest of the tour went by quickly after getting back on there objective.

After the tour was completed Josh went over the layout of Lobo’s retreat mansion and aircraft dock. Showing him a few ways to increase the security and fortification of his retreat making it a safe place for Lobo to live out the rest of his days in.
Lobo had received a message from his TL that had taken up a position near Alpha Security. The Director had a Trading Station stored in the Albatross along with a docking bay full of fighters. Freighters were setting near the TL full of freight ready to fill the station. His crew and pilots was getting restless and worried about all the rumors going around about the Director. Lobo thanked Josh and Sherry for all there help transported to his ship and jumped out of the sector to meet with his crew and pilots.

Josh and Sherry had just sat down to eat when Sarah replied. “Josh Ban Danna has just entered the sector and is asking you meet him onboard the TL ASAP.”
[Josh] “I’m sorry Sherry I wanted to take the slow ride back and spend some time together.”
[Sherry] “I know, I understand, someday Jose we’ll be able to go somewere that we can’t be bothered. I guess we’ll just have to wait till then.” Sherry kissed Josh as he engaged the jump drive.
