James was awaken by a siren that was coming from his data pad, Got out of bed went to the desk and hit the comms button.
Jake: Ten unidentified fighters entering sector from the East Gate, 4 fighter drones launched to protect Carrier,

James, prepare to depart station notify carrier to move within transporter range Notify all pilots to get in to environmental suits transport me to the cabin at my command

James rushed to get his flight suit on slipped on his boots and grabbed his data pad Jake transport now James grabbed his environmental suit kicked off his boots and started putting it on when he told Jake to depart station and give time to intercept,
Jake: departing station intercept in 10 Mizuras,

James got his suit on and grabbed his Helmet and data pad went in to the cockpit plugged in the data pad and put it in the secure holder, strapped in left his helmet in the Co-pilot seat, started thru the weapons load out and gun selections selected Wasp missiles as primary, Gun load out was good, checked course and speed and time to tgt selected main tgt noted that he had 6 friendlys’ with him and mike on his left , saw sector police departing there station 2 groups of 2. 5 Mizuras to contact Jake record engagements,
Jake; Wilco, Target 1 entering firing range, firing James watched as the fire hit the shields of tgt1 1 and tgt 1 open fire he strafed right out of the line of fire while Jake pounded his shields and reported tgt1 shields at 40 % 30% 10 % 5% Pilot ejected, James selected his next tgt
Jake reported incoming missile and engaged it with the turrets and by the Flash James know it had been destroyed be for Jake reported it destroyed
Jake: tgt 2 entering firing range firing James strafed right then left avoiding tgt 2 firing Jake pounded tgt 2 shields when they hit 7% the pilot ejected James saw a flash
Jake reported missile launch and that it had been destroyed By Mike and that there were 4 Pirate ships left, James selected the next tgt and told Jake to launch a missile at it and engage at the same time,
Jake: tgt in firing range missile launched then opened up with all guns, as the pirate turned to evade the missile Jake took out his port shield generator and damaged his engines, the pilot surrendered and ejected, Mike was engaging his tgt David was engaging a tgt Jeff was engaging a tgt , none open James: Jake cap ship eject any contraband and send it to the carrier
Jake no contraband found ship capped in route to carrier, heading to disabled ship scanning Space fuel found ejected ship capped sent to carrier

James show me sector scan James saw 14 of his ships indicated on the scan 4 were around the HQ construction, 4 were providing cap for the carrier 5 was with him their were 4 police groups now collecting the Pirates and destroying the contraband floating in space,
James marked the ships near him as his group told them to form up on him and headed toward the carrier when 6 Pirates Jumped in and were immediately disabled by his group before they had a chance to turn and fight,

David: of all the dumb things to do they jump in within range of the enemy, But good for us that’s 6 more ships for us, Jake had gotten in to the ships before the shields were up and took over and ejected the pilots before they could get there bearings.

Jake: ships captured no contraband found ships joins group Diamond formation.

James: Well done Jake did you learn that from Sara,

Jake: Not sure it is possible,

James: dock the ships on the carrier secure from general quarters, assign 1 team for cap 4 hr rotation have 1 team on ready stand by, every one else find a bunk on the carrier and get some rest, Mike, Jeff and Sam meet me on the bridge. Out

Jake: check out the captured ships remove any equipment that we can use, sell all of them give ma a list of equipment and goods that you had removed, any security boxes loaded on Hawk 2, Keep an eye on our cap, I’m going to get some rest. And exited the ship headed to the bridge.
James was met by Chris

Chris: best show I ever saw especially that last group that jumped in on top of you.

James they were in front of us about 700 meters, Jake got to them before their shields were up and took over the ships and ejected the pilots, we wont have to repair that group before we sell them.

Chris: Captain Richard called you said he got some of the engagement but need our reports and videos, We got the whole thing Tracy said that was a perfect deployment and wanted a copy for training, I send a copy to Cpt Richards tomorrow ok.

James ok I need to take to my partner then I’m going to get some sleep do you have a bunk for me?

Chris: I think I can handle that follow me, and Ill have the others join us.
Chris call the bridge and has Tracy sent the partners to James’ quarters

Chris led James past the officers Mess and the XO cabin the Commanders Cabin to the Admirals Cabin and opened the door and waved James in, Welcome to your home away from Home, The cabin was huge and excellently furnished , James Said wow this is better then my suite

Chris : no it not it doesn’t have a kitchen you have to go down the hall for that, and what time do you want breakfast now that we have the mess hall working,

James looks at his watch how about 8:30

Chris: done heres your partners there quarters are the next three, Ill show them when we are done here,

James: looked at Jeff I think The Black Hand Clan has declared war and I plain to take it to them soon. I’ve set up cap on a 4 hr rotation with a ready stand by, is there any thing else we need to do tonight. No one spoke up, ok then breakfast is at 8:30 get some rest see you in the morning, the group left and James, found some clean clothes and underwear in the ward robe with a pair of PJ’s he cleaned up and put on clean clothes and went right to sleep,

James was woken by a Knock on the door looked at the clock 8:15, come in and climbed out of the bed,

Chris: good morning, brought you some coffee,

James took the coffee and tasted it, You trying to spoil me, this is good coffee, let me get dressed then you can show me the mess hall, James took another drink of the coffee, went to the wardrobe and got out a clean flight suit, went into the head showered shaved and was back out fully dressed in 10 Mizuras, drained the coffee, noted that a cleaning druid was already striating the room and gathering up the discarded clothes, turned to Chris let go.

Chris led the way to the mess hall,

As they entered James noted that Jeff, Mike, Sam, David and Randy were all ready here and having breakfast, Chris went to their table and took a seat James followed and sat next to him.

A Steward arrived with more coffee and filled up James cup and pored a cup for Chris and asked what would they like for breakfast James ordered stake and eggs with toast and a orange juice. Chris gave his order and the Steward left

James: any more action last night?

Chris: no we kept the cap up I think we should continue it to day we can drop the ready team.

James: ok we should have some more pilots soon, and we get the ships tomorrow I’ve decided that we will take the carrier to kingdoms end and get them. I believe that the gate in three worlds is being monitored.

The Steward arrived with James & Chris’ order,

James: How’s the external docking port coming along,

Chris: I t going good should be finished by tomorrow then we’ll test it, But I don’t foresee any problems,

James: good, Do you have enough crew to operate around the clock?

Chris: It takes 57 for full shift if we shut down to minim it takes 30 that’s 87 if we add a third shift of 30 117 we can do it, under combat conditions no we need 30 more personnel, That gives us 147 and at that will leave 2 rooms , 4 beds extra .

Chris: I think that will work.

James: ok you pick-em I’ll pay-em, Let me know if you have any problems and if you have to Take one or Two of the Partner quarters if you have to and double us up. Ok

Chris: I hope it wont come to that, and I know were to get the people I need, I’ll keep you advised on it.

They finished breakfast and Chris took James and the Partners for a tour of the Ship,

James: Chris you have done a wonderful job with the ship, I need to get to the office and check in with Captain Desmond, Jeff you check with the TL and see if there was any damage done last night Mike assign 6 fighters to maintain cap more if you can I know we have some runs for to day, and run the 2 new pilots thru the evaluation scenario’s so we can put them to work, Sam you help Mike, let me know the out come,
James headed to his ship.

James: Jake, prepare to depart and head to the station,

Jake: hatch secured, departing ship, docking granted, entering landing lane, entering station, docking, clamps secured, opening hatch,

Jake: James before you leave I have buyers for 16 of the 23 ships we have for sale, and I have completed the Equipment and Goods list, would you like to view them?

James: not now go ahead and sell the goods, equip, and the ships, as long as you get a good deal I’ll be happy.

Jake: roger I have found the best prices.

James left the ship and headed to the office, as he enters Hi how’s things going

Anjanette: Fine James, Thresica need to talk to you

Sherry: good by the looks of these requests,

James laughs and heads to Thresica’s office knocks then enters,

Thresica: James is every one ok, I heard that there was an attack last night?

James: everyone is fine and yes we were attacked but it failed and we capped 16 ships and probably got some rewards to boot but I need to contact Captain Desmond and see if he got the engagement reports, Tracy has a video of what happened last night maybe you can get her to show it to you,

Thresica: I will, and Captain Desmond has sent me a message saying he did get the reports, and that he is processing the prisoners and will have a report to you by noon, We have 6 pilots that showed up this morning, I have them in the conference room Filling out paper work The station manager said he has no more rooms available now I don’t know were to put them.

James: send them to the carrier they can room their for now then have them report to Mike for evaluation, If any more show up send them to the carrier, I’m going to the other office to work for an hour or two let me know when you head out for lunch, I would like to join you ok

Thresica: sure

James left her office and went into the one next door, secured the door and hooked up the data pad, contacted Josh on a secure connection had to wait 5 Mizuras for Josh to come on the line,

James: we had some visitors last night that tried to crash our party

Josh: I know my TL sent an engagement report and a show of the party to me,

James: that’s good I sent Jeff to see if any thing was damaged but I haven’t heard from him,

Josh, the only thing damaged was a worker drone that got hit by a ship, It has been replaced, the work is 22 hrs ahead of schedule.

James: I know it was going fast, I’m glad nothing else was damaged; I have put some security up and hope I can keep the interruptions to a minimum.

Josh: that was in the report, do you need any support?

James: not at the moment but I hold you to that for when I decide to return the favor to our guest form last night,

Josh: I like to do some party crashing.

James: when I pick up the goods tomorrow I would like to order 10 more party crashers, and 2 caters if you don’t mind

Josh: I don’t mind but you have to talk to the cook when you get their but I don’t think he will mind he loves to cook,

James: thank you I keep you advised, bye

Josh: ok bye

James’ comms buzz, James checked the caller, Hi Jeff wats up

Jeff: the ship captain tell me he reported what happened last night and he lost 1 worker drone,

James: yes I just talked to his employer, and got the information I need you to come to the office, ok

Jeff: roger. Bye

James: bye

James then pulled up the list of goods from the capped ships, James looked at the total $46,788,972 wow if Jake can get that I’ll have enough to purchase the ships.

20 Mizuras later

Jeff knocked then walked in to the office, what do you have?

James Look at this and turns the data pad toward him,

Jeff scans down the list, wow that much good.

James did I tell you that I talked to Josh, he approved the purchase of the additional ships, Ill order them tomorrow when we pick up this bunch. Captain Desmond is going to contact us at noon Hopefully he have the bounties calculated by then our account should be in really good standing by the end of the day.

Jeff: I should say so. I got a call from Mike He asked if I could give him a hand with the evaluations so we could be done by dinner, I told him Id call him back, If you don’t have any thing else Ill go help him.

James: ok go Ill handle things here.

James went to Thresica Office knocked and entered there were two people talking to Thresica, who looked to see who was entering,

Thresica: James I like you to meet Samantha Long and
Berry Henson I hired them to pilot the TS,

James: Welcome aboard and shakes there hands. Thresica I will be in the dock area if you need me, and leaves

James walks around the dock and inspects his craft that was parked there 2 sparrows 3 hawk craft, 2 falcons 2 novas, then enters his ship, Jake have you been able to sell all of the ships, equipment and goods?

Jake: all of the equipment has been sold and will be picked up to day the Micro chips have been sold and picked up, 600 of the crystals have been sold and picked up 16 of the ships have been sold and 12 have been picked up, 4 will be picked up this evening,
8 falcons are still for sale. If they are not sold to day I will drop the price to 1,600,000.

James: drop the price to 1,620,000 now and see if they go,

Jake : ok

10 Mizuras later 4 of the eight sold.

James left the ship and was headed toward the office when he ran to Thresica.

Thresica, I was coming to get you we have a lunch date remember,

James: yes I was coming for you,

They both laugh and headed to the lounge.

The lounge was very busy to day James was looking for a table when the lounge manager walked up and asked them to follow him.

He led them to a private dinning area that James did not know existed, it had several small tables for 4 would have seated 40 people there were about 15 all ready here, they were seated by a large viewing port James could see the construction site,
Hank Tompkins The lounge manager asked if he liked the view?

James: yes very much,

Hank: this table and those 2 are reserved for your use when ever you come in The business we are getting now is directly related to you setting up shop here, This is our way of thanking you, and today’s lunch is on me enjoy as he turned to leave a waitress appeared and ask what could she get us to drink?

Thresica: I would like a large glass of ice tea,

James : Il have the same thank you,

The waitress said her name was Cindy and that her and Mary, Sandra, Jane, Jimmy, and Robert, always worked the Special Dinning Room, I be right back with your drinks here is the menu, she then turns and leaves,

Thresica: did you know about this dining area?

James: no but its much better then out there.

Cindy brought the drinks: are you ready to order?

Thresica: Id like the Argnu stake burger and fries,

James: Id like a double Argnu stake burger with large fries,

Cindy: Ill be right Back with that,

James: you wouldn’t know how some of my clothes ended up on the carrier would you?

Thresica: who me ! na Chris did ask me where you bought your clothes and I told him at Umbel’s in the wall.

Cindy returned with the meals, can I get you anything else

James: how about some coffee, I think I’m going to need the caffeine to make it thru the day.

Cindy: I’ll bring a carafe of coffee and 2 cups,

Cindy: dropped off the tray with the coffee and two cups cream and sweetener.

They eat there lunch and had 2 cups of coffee James left a 10.00cr gold coin on the table and they left ,

When they arrived at the office

Sherry: you got some more pilots waiting in the conference room I got them started on the paper work.

Thresica: thanks Ill check on them, It looks like I’ve got some more work to do see you later.

James: Ill be in my ship, Just call if you need me.

James, entered the ship,

Jake: you made a good decision to drop the price, all 8 of the ships sold in under an hour and will be picked up today. I also found a buyer for the Crystals and they have been picked up.

James good Ill be in the cabin if any one need me,

James went into the cabin and brought up his checking accounts,

James set back in the seat and fell asleep.

Jeff entered Hawk 1 Jake were is James?

Jake: in the cabin asleep by the sounds that are coming from there,

Jeff: I’ll wake him, Jeff enters the cabin, James, James wake up its time for dinner,

James: I must have dosed off what time is it?

Jeff: 6:10 pm and dinner is at 7, what have you been doing besides sleeping?

James: checking the bank account, take a look,

Jeff: wow never thought we see that much,

James: It wont stay there for long to morrow I’ve got to pay Salas for the ships, and order some more,

Jeff: but once we have our own fleet we will just have to pay the pilots, then we can save some money.

James I hope you are right, I just hope we stay ahead of the bills.

James lets go I’m am getting hungry,

They left the ship and head toward the lounge,

Jeff: the pilots we tested today did very well all we have to do now is pair them up.

James; that’s good news, we should be able to gut them ships tomorrow, and send them to get flight suits, that reminds me do you thing we should find some one that is qualified to maintain environmental suits?

Jeff: It wouldn’t hurt to have some one who can check out and repair environmental suits,

James: I’ll have Thresica check on it, and to find were we can pick up some spares.

They enter the lounge and James shows Jeff were the special dining room was located,

As they enter James spots Thresica, Anjanette, Sherry, Marian, Samantha, Berry and Judy sitting at the reserve tables,

Jeff, I didn’t know this room existed,

James I didn’t either till lunch today. Did Mike and Sam come back with you?

Jeff: no they stayed on the carrier.

They sat down and a waitress arrived and introduced her self as Sandra, said she would be our waitress for this evening, what Can I get you to drink?

James: coffee,

Jeff: coffee,

Sandra said she be right back with a decanter of coffee,

James: Hi Thresica, Sherry, Anjanette, how did your day go?


They said that to day was a good day, and everything went smooth.

James I’ll be right back then went over to the other table to meet Samantha and Berry,

James: did you get settled in ok,
Samantha: yes, and I got to fly Sparrow 2 It’s the best Freighter I’ve ever seen, It fly so easy, Thank you for the chance to fly it.

James: Your very welcome just learn how to handle it you will have one of your own soon, and I expect you to fly it and be able to defend your self in it with out damaging it.

Samantha: I will.

James: and you Berry what do you think?

Sandra: returned with the coffee pored Jeff a cup and handed it to him then pored another cup and took it to James,

James: thank you Sandra, Think you could Russell me up a large Stake with fries and a salad,

Sandra: sure, how would you like it cooked , and what dressing for the salad?

James: Medium well, and ranch dressing,

Sandra: thank you Ill get some more orders and get that started for you,

Berry; It is a wonderful ship, It handles well and is well armed, I would love to fly one of those fighters I saw to day they look marvelous, out there flying,

James: yes they are, will see we may let you ride in one no promises.

James: Judy what do you think of our new pilots?

Judy: they are coming along great, well have to come up with some combat sims for them.

James I think Mike has some check with him.

Judy: ok

James: Marian how was your day,

Marian: very good thank you,

James: good tomorrow I need you to ferry the new pilots to the wall to get their flight suits and jackets,

Marian: ok

James walked back to his seat, and started on his salad.

Sandra: James see if this stake is ok, would you like some Stake sauce?

James cut the stake and took a bite savored the taste, Perfect no stake sauce it would ruin the stake, picks up the ketchup and drowned the fries added a little salt.

James: hadn’t said a word thru dinner when he had finished the stake and fries, and finished the last byte of the salad,

Sandra: can I get you some desert?

James: no thank you more coffee would be good,

Sandra: I’ll be right back with that. She asked the others about desert and Drinks,

James: Jeff are any of the others returning from the carrier?

Jeff: I don’t think so some of the pilots moved their things to the carrier, they decided not to shuttle back in forth, Chris & Tracy are rotating the CAP. Chris said that the external docking ports work perfectly, I think he is anxious to jump to KE tomorrow this will be the first time with the new Advanced Jump drive, I don’t think he has Jumped a M1 with out using a jump gate.

James: I think he do fine, I should have let him jump earlier, I just didn’t think about it, but with the planes I have for the carries, Jumping will come like walking. Lets Mingle for a while, I think I will turn in early,

Jeff: you slept half the day you tired again, I think you should see the doctor.

James: no doctors,

They visited and talked to the other employees, commented on the progress of the HQ, and joked with some of the station visitors till 10:00 PM then went to their suite.

Mike and Sam were not in when they arrived,

James: how would you like to have breakfast on the carrier tomorrow?

Jeff: that’s fine with me.

James walked in to his room put his flight bag on the desk, laid out his clothes for tomorrow, took a hot shower, and went to bed.
