A new wallpaper, finally!
Here I made it again, it has become a lot more difficult with my job and everyday problems, but I found the time anyway
"Departures"
[ external image ]
It's a 16:10 wallpaper (my new monitor's ratio), but there's also a 4:3 version in my gallery if you are interested...
Inspiration (well, a lot more than inspiration, almost everything but the background in fact) came from this screenshot I made for the last image contest of the Italian forum....
...I won. Yuppiiiii
Hope working on my new 20" lcd has given its results...if you say the original screen is better than the remake, i'll take it as a personal offence and won't speak to you anymore
Enjoy!

if the ingame graphic would be as on your wallpaper ... awesome =)
... what is a drop of rain, compared to the storm? ... what is a thought, compared to the mind? ... our unity is full of wonder which your tiny individualism cannot even conceive ... I've heard it all before ... you're saying nothing new ... I thought I saw a rainbow ... but I guess it wasn't true ... you cannot make me listen ... I cannot make you hear ... you find your way to heaven ... I'll meet you when you're there ...

Thanks all
Apart from that, about my pics, it's just that I'm still having lots of problems finding the right light/hue levels for the images, to be seen as good on every monitor as I see them on mine ...
(About that last comment...I think to have screwed up a bit on english grammar...ops ...)
Yep, that's mostly true, but I think that adding a bit more of colour/light than the real thing, often gives just that "artistic touch" to some images...fiksal wrote:aside from an artistic touch,
all you got to do is - add more darkness
X3 is too colorful in places. Space is not sufficiently dark.

yep, I was referring to X3's screenshot, not your wallpaper thoughAken_Bosch wrote:Thanks allYep, that's mostly true, but I think that adding a bit more of colour/light than the real thing, often gives just that "artistic touch" to some images...fiksal wrote:aside from an artistic touch,

that's kinda a crapshoot.Aken_Bosch wrote: Apart from that, about my pics, it's just that I'm still having lots of problems finding the right light/hue levels for the images, to be seen as good on every monitor as I see them on mine ...
I noticed that my new LCD is capable of much deeper contrast levels than old CRT. Since I like the look of the LCD better, I just go with that
would have helped to have several brand name monitors on default settings... but

Hey Aken_Bosch
like your last wallpaper this is also a very impressive work
Could not you try at one of your next works something with an Odysseus or a Paranid Trading Dock? ^^^
Their shapes are in my opinion very suitable for anything ... well, do not want to prescribe something. I think you will find an impressive situation for the objects

Haha I know that... only got 2 different 19" here for exactly that purpose but it's still not enough! No free space though.Aken_Bosch wrote:It's not about money, it's that I don't have enough free space on my deskfiksal wrote:would have helped to have several brand name monitors on default settings... but

Agree, I've always liked a lot the shape of paranid trading dock (it'd have been awesome also as a ship more than a station)....but still had not find a nice (and easy ) idea to put it in something...Alex Vanderbilt wrote: Could not you try at one of your next works something with an Odysseus or a Paranid Trading Dock? ^^^
