New start Day 2
I woke up at 7:15 Argon, Daylight, Time, and got dressed made a note to get some more clothes for the group and new flight suits and jackets and some civvies attire since we only had our navy uniforms and a few casual ware. I figured we could do that in two or three days I needed to find a sectary first. And get a couple secure computers for the business I never figured that things would go so fast , I had to figure a way to slow it down till I had the office up and running, mite need an office manager and
2 sectaries or Receptionists,
Man I never had to deal with office work before the navy just trained us to be fighter jocks, and we were the elite at that,
maybe I should look for other navy pilots to fly escort and maybe get a couple of transports I think Ill wait till I figure where the best deals are, I got a busy day awaiting me.
At breakfast I asked Mike to hold down the office while I look for office help,
Told Jeff to check on the escort contract with Argon Energy Supply Transport let me know the out come of the meting
Told Sam to check the Job board and see if any thing looks good but to stay in sector.
After breakfast I went to the local Police Station and filled out the request for bounty attached a copy of the police report and our reports.
I asked the Police Captain. Richard Desmond about the pirate activity in this sector.
Captain Desmond explained that it has risen in the past 3 months and especially attacks on Argon Energy Supply Transport he believes that the pirate have a bounty on there ships
He told me that they have attacked and killed 4 police cruisers and that he has requested argon military to station a battle cruiser in sector, but they refused because of Khaak activity.
I went back to the office to see mike
Mike: I ordered a security drone for the office and 1 to watch the docking Bays
James: good I hadn’t though of that well need to keep our security tight. We mite get some secure communication equipment with random encryption keys.
Mike: we all ready made some people mad at us some of them mite try to leave us a surprise or two, He said that he had upgraded the drone scanners to pick up all weapons , explosives and tracker devices.
James: have you heard from Sam or Jeff
Mike: No not yet they should check in soon
James: Id better get going it Ill be on the Argon Prime trading station looking for some pilots and office help if you need me call I check in later and give you an update for the guys.
Mike: do the office help first I don’t like sitting behind a desk it’s boring.

James: I’m looking for some office help either sectaries or receptionist and maybe an office Manager.
Receptionist: ok let me see what we have, she walks in to an office and comes back in 10 carrying a portable data pad hands it to James says you can use review room 3 to look over the applicants Résumé’s and I added the latest Personnel specialist applicants for you, bring back the data pad with your selections and Ill down the selections to your data pad.
James: takes the data pad, Thank You, then heads to the review room indicated,
Looks at the listings 750 applicants, and changes the perimeters to applicants willing to leave sector narrowed it down to 313 applicants so I started with the Secretarial applicants 210 of them. changes the perimeters to applicants to nes located in argon prime 25 applicants
It was going to be a long and boring job but I had to do it ,
after three hours I found 4 Applications for Secretarial work that looked good so I checked there names Sherry Michaels, Mary Ann Watkins, Tracy Young, Thelma Richards.
Then I looked at the personnel specialists section only 4 were ex military so I looked at them first thinking if they had military training they could take order and follow thru two of them were located in light of hart 1 was in black hole sun 1 was recently discharged here in argon prime her name was Thresica Smith and her files and Resume look good and she had a fighter pilot license I checked her name
I handed the data pad back to the receptionist who copied there files & applications to my data pad I decided to go and get lunch and look at some of the shops, before I started contacting them.
During lunch I contacted Mike and asked him if he had heard from the others
Mike: Sam found 2 local escort jobs and was to check back in, in 1 hr.
And that Jeff was still in Herrin Nebula working on the contracts

James: I explained that I had a list of applicants and that I would contact them for interviews, Ill call you in 3 hrs but to call me if any thing comes up

Sherry said she would be able to meet with me tomorrow at 1:00 pm at the trading station lounge. I said that would be fine and disconnected the call made a note and attached it to her file.

and disconnected the call, I dumped her file from the data pad.

James: I’m on the trading center in Argon prime conducting interviews to day But we can schedule one for any time you are available.

James : that should be good I’m on station preparing to interview an applicant call me when your done at the military office . Ill head to the lounge to meet you

James: left the shop headed to the station management office when Thresica called and said that she was at the lounge at the bar.

Thresica: I’ve been in personnel Services for the past 10 years 5 of has been in management I’ve just completed my military service just been released from Argon military Headquarters I have not found a suitable position yet, Id like to see more of the universe. I have a pilot license for a fighter and had extensive trainer time but no real combat time. What are you offering.

James then heads toward the landing bay sees the drone with his equipment Jake open the cargo bay door and direct the drone were to put the equipment and secure the bay

Jeff reported in and said that he was staying at the trading center in Herron’s Nebula tonight and escorting 2 transports in the morning and asked that Sam link up with him at the south gate at 10:00. I’m going to join Sam in the Lounge and get some dinner
James: Mike I’m bringing our new office manger with me, she will need an apartment and 1 secretary will be joining us Saturday can you contact the station manager tell him that we need to lease 2 more apartments try to get some nice ones ok.

Mike leads them to the first Suite, and open the door and hands the security card to Thresica tells her that she has to program the card to her bio readings so the door will only open for her and show her the communication room points to the card reader and thumb pad. It works just like a debit card reader.
Thresica: Looks around the room as they enter, This is beautiful nicely furnished and walks over to the card reader places her right thumb on the scanner and swipes the card
Computer announces that the card and security system has been activated. Would you like voice commands activated?

Thresica; tells the drone to put the luggage in the master bedroom, turns to James I guess Ill unpack and go to bed Ill call you

James: well I’m not sure how many pilots Ill need yet but I’m willing to give them a chance.
Randy: introduces the pilots, Gary Manning Pilot, William Hanson, and this young lady Judy Harrison.
James: Welcome to Hawks Security, Ill Have some contracts drawn up for you to view and assign living quarters tomorrow unless you need some place to stay tonight?
Judy: I need a place to stay I don’t Have a Ship,
James: OK mike will help you with your things and show you to the apartment, for tonight ok

James: I would like all of you to meet me in the cafeteria at 0800 we’ll have breakfast I’ll introduce you to Thresica our new Office Manager and see if we have some work for you. Mike will you show Judy to the apartment, See you guys in the morning, then heads to his apartment.

As James approached the suite the door opens and the computer announces Welcome Home James and closes the door after he has entered the suite, then asks if he would like to view the room security logs?
James: No and head to the master bed room. As he enters the room the security drone says Hello Mr. Hawk all is secure.
James: good, as he heads to the desk to lay his data pad on top of it .
Computer: announces the arrival of Mike & Sam.
James: tell them I’m in the Master bed room and as them to join me.
Computer: affirmative
Mike enters the room and takes a chair by the desk and sets his data pad on the desk and turns it on, Sam sits in the recliner and leans back.
Mike: I have the days notes on screen if you would like to look at them?
James: no just give me the highlights,

James: ok now Sam you take Gary & Will with you to link up with Jeff Ill inform them at breakfast, Mike get Randy to help you set up the new equipment, then have a satellite deployed in sector to scan for Pirate ships and groups of fighters over 4 , have it verify all registry and notify us of any discrepancies.
