Font Replacement

Well, having got extremely annoyed trying to format incoming text messages I decided to see if i could replace the font...turns out it possible.

some nice Japanesse people made a program call x3fontmaker which will successfully turn any windows font into an x3 font (ingame legibility varys)

so...using a commercialy available (30 day unlimited trial) font creation app (Font Creator 5.6) I copied and modified the windows ttf font tahoma and then made it usable by x3

the mod file replaces the tahoma13.tga and tahoma13.abc with a "aligned" copy of the default microsoft version of the tahoma font, by aligned i mean all characters are centered in there field and all fields are the same width....kinda like courier, courier new, and terminal fonts

all characters nessecary for x3 are present...and then some

X3 Fontmaker you say? I think this is an absolutely awesome idea. Definitely going to try yours.

honestly the font doesnt look that great in game, and while legible its not as legible as the original...but it does accomplish the purpose of aligning the text

if you search in google for "x3fontmaker" you will get EXACTLY one site hit....and its down there....translation may be needed
