[SCRIPT] Nividium As Secondary Resource by Nividium 9/07/2007
Nividium (Nividium As Secondary Resource) for X3 Reunion.
Name of Script Package Nividium As Secondary Resource
Version Number 1.00
Date Released 9/07/2007
Script Created For X3 Reunion v 2.0.02
File Package Available X3 Script Installer "SPK"
Download the "SPK" file format package here: Nividium As Secondary Resource v1.0
Description:
This script adds the Nividium ware to NPC Factories that use the Ore ware as their Primary Resource. As it turns out, Nividium when combined with Ore creates a super strong alloy. As word of this new discovery spread, all of the major races have begun using Nividium as a Secondary Resource. This has also created major opportunities for Nividium miners. Demand for Nividium is now at record levels in the X3 Universe. So, what are you waiting for? Take advantage of this new trade opportunity now. Gear up some mining TS and or buy some Nividium Mines [see "cycrow" addon script] and get your share of this new boom market.
Features:
- Everytime you start a new game or load a saved game, all the major races NPC Factories will be checked to see if they "use Ore as their Primary Resource" and if they don't already "use Nividium as their Secondary Resource", then Nividium is added as a Secondary Resource to their Factory. Also, if new NPC Factories are added at some point during the game, they will be checked and updated at your next save and reload point. This package also contains an "uninstall" script to remove the Nividium as Secondary Resource from NPC Factories if you should decide, at some point, to uninstall the Nividium As Secondary Resource script. This is achieved through the X3 Script Manager/Installer program and is automatic.
Installation: Use the X3 Script Installer.
Uninstall: Use the X3 Script Installer. An uninstall script will automatically remove Nividium.
Version History: Version 1.00 Initial Release.

I'm seeing a potential problem. Considering Nividium isnt exactly plentiful in the game, and making it a secondary resource for many factories could grind the economy to a halt.
Or are secondary resources not nessicary to the building of a factories wares?

Yes that's right, Secondary Resources are not required to the building of a factories wares. But, they are nice to have wares for the factory, ie: makes higher quality wares, shinier ships, etc. But the Factory can still produce as usual without them. That's why they want Nividium to make a stronger alloy. They can still make steel but it won't be as strong as when they make an Ore-Nividium blend alloy.Hagallsson wrote:I'm seeing a potential problem. Also, there is alot of Nividium in the game. I made 1 billion credits, just mining Nividium. There are lots of Debris Fields that contain Nividium and there are some large Asteroids that contain Nividium. Now, if you use a Mining Gun on a large Asteroid (just one shot to break the Asteroid, then use regular weapons break the rocks), believe it or not the Asteroid will respawn again and again in the same Sector, but dif location

Nice one
this is pretty damn cool.
One question though, how does the quality of the ware change depending on the secondary resources?

There's no quality effect for real (beyond players imagination as a role playerninjitsumonk wrote:Nice onethis is pretty damn cool.

I've heard rumours, that the secondary resources may speed up production process, but I have no clarification about this ...

Hmmm... Perhaps thats something for you to look into Nividium, maybe make an AL plugin to check every station in the galaxy, check the resources and obviously, make sure that it has enough nividium, if it has enough to produce the ware, add some of the product to said station. If not, don't, it will just continue producing as normal.
