CONFLICTS:
Laureati's Targeting Extensions for the OCS will cause doubling of the hotkeys in the Apollyon Arms: Targeting Extensions. It is recommended that those using Laureati's Targeting Extensions uninstall it and use the Apollyon Arms version instead.
Laureati's Targeting Extensions uninstaller available here.
NO OTHER KNOWN CONFLICTS

INTRODUCTION:
The Apollyon Arms: Targeting Extensions adds enhanced targeting functionality for combat pilots with Fight Command Software installed. Depending on the level of upgrade, additional targeting options are made available to the pilot. These are done through up to 5 additional targeting hotkey assignments to aid the pilot in targeting attackers of friendly ships or incoming missiles.
The Targeting Extensions functionality comes with a minimum of Fight Command Software Mk.1 installed. Installing both FCS Mk.1 and Mk.2 is highly recommended.
FEATURES:
with Fight Command Software Mk.1 installed
1) Target Ext: Target on attacker
Redirects targeting to last known attacker of current target. Frequently used by escorts. Applicable to friendly or player owned ships/stations.
[scripter's note: - Not sure how friendly you have to be before it starts to work on non-player owned ships. Also not tested on friendly spawned ships e.g. Escort Missions. Feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.]
with Fight Command Software Mk.2 installed (FCS Mk.1 required)
2) Target Ext: Target on same
Redirects targeting to the target of your current target. i.e. Works like the receiver for "Attack my target". Only applicable to player owned ships.
3) Target Ext: Target on nearest enemy
Redirects targeting to the nearest enemy target of your current target. Applicable only to player owned ships.
4) Target Ext: Target Missile Next
Targets the next incoming missile in the cycle.
5) Target Ext: Target Missile Nearest
Targets the nearest incoming missile.
[Scripter's Note: - Missile targeting extensions (#4 & #5) modified from Cycrow's Missile Targeting Software. Used here with permission]
INSTALLING/UNINSTALLING FOR SPK:
Just follow the instructions for Cycrow's XScript Installer.
INSTALLATION FOR ZIP:
1) Unpack the zip file into the X3:Reunion folder.
The files should unpack into the 'scripts' and 't' folders as appropriate. The Targeting Extension hotkeys will then be assignable in the 'Interface' section of 'Controls' the next time you load a game. Saved games compatible.
UNINSTALLING FOR ZIP:
1) Delete the following files from X3: -
"scripts" folder: -
setup.plugin.apollyon.target.ext.xml
plugin.apollyon.t.attacker.of.xml
plugin.apollyon.t.miss.nearest.xml
plugin.apollyon.t.miss.next.xml
plugin.apollyon.t.nearest.of.xml
plugin.apollyon.t.target.same.xml
"t" folder: -
447447.xml
Note: 447447.xml is also used by the Apollyon Arms: Laser Weapon Switcher. Do NOT delete this file if you still wish to use the Apollyon Arms: LWS.
2) Copy "setup.remove.apollyon.target.ext.xml" from the "uninstaller" folder into the "scripts" folder
The next time you start or load a game you will receive a message informing you that "Apollyon Arms: Targeting Extensions successfully uninstalled..."
3) Delete the "setup.remove.apollyon.target.ext.xml" from the "scripts" folder once you have received the uninstalled message
TOO MUCH INFORMATION:
These scripts basically give to the player what the FCS gives to the AI ships - the funtionality to 'Protect...', 'Attack my target', 'Attack nearest target of', and 'Missile Defence'. These scripts are not cheats but give the functionality to the player that otherwise seems to exist only for the AI.
Originally written to help me run in-sector combat tests I thought these scripts would enhance gameplay and wrote in additional code restricting access to only friendly or player owned ships as common sense dictated.
Cycrow's scripts were used first to understand how to write the system and then later added as a feature.
Many thanks to Cycrow for all his help.

5.05 UNINSTALLER UPDATE
The uninstaller included in version 5.05 has an incorrect string causing "Target Ext: Target on same" to not be removed. The updated uninstaller fixes that.
Users with the zip version should overwrite the old file in the "uninstaller" folder with this one.
Those using the spk follow a slightly different method to uninstall.
1. Uninstall using the Xscript Installer
2. Add the 'setup.remove.apollyon.target.ext' file into your scripts folder
3. Restart/reload your game
4. Message will appear. Controls in the menu should now be gone
5. Delete 'setup.remove.apollyon.target.ext' from the scripts folder
THANK YOU
