Fleet commanders in X have a difficult task in coordinating their many fighter squadrons. The group management system provides assistance in controlling large fighter groups. Now it is possible to command a fighter group to quickly attack and also retreat with the carrier.
When a ship is reverse engineered in the headquarters a blueprint for mass production is created. This process involves teams of engineers painstakingly removing, analyzing, documenting and storing the ship components. The drawback of this operation is that the resources that were used to manufacture the ship cannot be recycled. However, engineers can instead opt to strip the ship solely for these resources. This process is of course faster but will not result in the creation of a production blue print.
Many freighter pilots have reported the strange disappearance of their freight. Intelligence reports from underground sources suggest a "shield hacker" device has been covertly developed by pirates. However, no exemplars have been recovered for examination. Any pilot gaining possession of such a device should immediately contact the Argon authorities. Keep your eyes peeled!
The Bonus Package version 3.01.06 is now available for download in the download section.
I had made a bet with myself (months ago) that Ego releases 06 at midsummer. But I don't mind losing this way.
PS. There is something seriously funny going on with the Forum Matrix. For example, the XTM announcement was not listed immediately, but it was as latest post on Forum Index, by BurnIt!, not Abyss -- and readable. GMS thread states it is in X-Universe forum, but is not shown in any forum.

sorry I'm at work ATM so can't check - does this mean that I can strip engine tunings and cargo extensions from capped ships and store at the PHQ ready to apply to another ship?

No, it means that ship turns into scrap metal. You get some, but not all, of the resources needed to build such ship. ECells, Microchips, Tubes, Ore, ... All upgrades are lost.

'Fraid not. It will dismantle the ship into the components which you would normally use to build a ship - in other words, it will 'unbuild' it.

noone. You keep an eye on the first post in the [L3+] Script Testing forum. It always has the latest text available there, and you can see the status of the scripts we're testing.
I am in the process of finally preparing to start the vanilla plot so I can finish and then start XTM.
I already had the XAI pack loaded through script installer and tried simply installing the .06 on top of my game.
I got a few duplicate update messages with diff version numbers.
EDIT: If the links on the first page are the included version numbers, how do I tell which is taking precedence, the pack or the script installer. Do I need to deactivate/unistall the unsigned XAI pack completely?
Also as we progress and authors update their individual scripts, do we just continue to install/overwrite the .06 from this point on, until another pack.
