The BbS wires are HOT! A little known sect of the Goner race (The Mad Goners) has defected to the Khaak! Setting off nividium enhanced explosives inside the Goner Temple at Cloudbase Southwest, and stealing the computer design and specifications for two of the Confederates top fighter ships! Destroying the Temple has devastated research and development for the Confederate Banshee and Confederate Osprey MKII! With only one prototype of the Banshee in service (your ship), the Confederacy has called on the assistance of all the free races to prepare for the worst!
Argon intelligence has reported sightings of Khaak controlled Banshees and MKII's in certain sectors as well as rumours of a strange Mad Goner shipyard deep in Khaak territory that dares any race to come purchase their newly built ships!
To make matters worse; the pirate bases have worked out a semi-alliance with the Xenon to strengthen their base against the new threat! For the exchange of stolen military secrets the Xenon have turned over a decommissioned shipyard to the pirates!
Understanding the threat, the 6 major races (Confederacy included) have called to align themselves against the new threat. The Argon has set up a special HQ trading station in a mineral depleted Paranid mines area and invited all the free races to set up their headquarters there.
The warning is out! If the Khaak start mass producing the awesome Banshee and MKII, the universe will never be the same again!

*What to do with the Banshee has been on my mind ever since I first played the Deadly Mod..Just to darn powerful for the game! 90MW shielding (with wares) 75MW (ship only) and 6...I repeat..6 BHEPT! I had to make it harder to get the darn thing since I have no idea how to price it at a staggering 1 Billion!
This is what I call a "mission mod"..No real scripted missions; the map is just set up in such a way that you have to do certain things to achieve certain goals.
The Banshee and Osprey MKII can no longer be purchased at shipyards; unless of course if you want to run the Khaak guantlet, the Mad Goners will gladly take your money! Good luck getting them out though as there is NO equipment dock for upgrades..hehe!

This is not the "traditional" X2 map. This is a highly modified version of a popular German map by Trek. In all honesty this is one of the best maps I have ever played if I do say so myself..

Install:
map in maps folder...scripts in scripts folder...mod in mods folder..t in t folder.


Don't be suprised if things look different..Go with the flow..This map will grow on you..Cheers
