The Terran Conflict Version is here.

  • Idea and versions 1-2.1.00 by triple81
  • Script renewal and versions 3.00-3.02 by Lt. Ford [KBG]
  • Versions since 3.03 and english translation by Dusty
  • Russian Translation by ChemODun
  • French Translation by CitizenCuts (La Confrérie des échanges)

  • Script version: 3.21

  • Last script update: 20.9.07

NEWS: 20.9.07 - Version 3.21 released

The Factory Complex Constructor is a tool for building good-looking Complexes in X3-Reunion. And much more than that...

The History of the FCC...

The "original" FCC has been written by triple81. But he's inactive since months - and the FCC was still not finished.

Some months later, Lt. Ford agreed to write a new Version of this Script. He has written the whole Code new - and a few weeks later, the FCC in version 3.00 was released.
But the new version was full of failures. Just for example, if you entered a sector where you've placed a station with the FCC, the game crashed. But the bugs were not the only problem... Lots of functions were missing in the new version.
Only a short time later, the versions 3.01, 3.02 and 3.03 have been released. But none of them could fix all the bugs.
After this, nothing happened for a long time...
Then, I decided to continue developping the FCC, and Lt. Ford agreed.

Now, after all this, the FCC is bugfree and it has new features, which improve complex building in X3. Have Fun with this Script.

Main Features:

  • Station- and complexbuilding
  • Precise positioning/rotating of stations for compact complexes (Precision: Up to 25m / 7,5°)
  • OOS-station building
  • Positioning of factories in a complex
  • Building of singe control centers (No alignment to north!)
  • No obstructed view while building stations! (Sectormap, etc.)
  • Rearrangement of already build stations
  • Collison warning prevents collisions of stations
  • Moving whole Complexes
  • ...

FCC-Plugin for Ashley's Factories

Installation of this Plugin: Extract the file, and copy 'lib.dy.station.sizes' into your 'scripts' folder in the X3-Directory.

Installation: Extract the .zip file. (If you don't have WinRar, you can get it here for free)
Then copy the folders "scripts" and "t" into your X3-Folder.
Or, If you have Cycrow's ScriptInstaller, just double-click on the ScriptInstaller-file.

-> Tip: If you've installed the old version with the script installer, you may have to remove the old entry (click on "remove script files"), and then you can install the new version.

Known bugs:

Version 3.20:
-none-

Version 3.20:
Problem with moving mines. Download has been updated, the corrected files can be downloaded here separately.

Version 3.12:
Stations didn't start production when they have been built OOS by using the Offset-Values.
Corrected Version is uploaded.
If someone wants to download the Fix seperately, click here. Unpack the File and copy it into your 'scripts' Folder.

Version 3.11:
-none-

Version 3.10:
-Double hotkey for FCC-Send Report after you re-installed the script. Only a cosmetical failure, nothing that matters.

Version 3.08 and 3.09: -none-
-The game crashes in some special cases when you try to enter a sector where you've got unfixed stations.

Changelog:

3.21 FINAL:

  • Compatibility improvements
  • Wares will not be removed anymore when unfixing a station
  • Unfixed stations can be attached to complexes without problems
  • Stations will be fixed automatically when building
  • removed some failures in station library
  • Informations-feature improved and expanded.
  • The Factory Complex Constructor uses now ChemODun's String library

3.20 FINAL:

  • The FCC requires a Tractorbeam to move and rotate stations – at least one of your ships has to carry a tractorbeam.
This ship can be the player ship as well as any other, as far as it is in the same sector as the player.
  • New Plugin supports Ashley's Factories (has to be downlaoded separately!)
  • Bug fixed: FCC caused some problems with the transfer money-command on stations.
  • Bug fixed: The Player Headquarters can now be moved without loosing wares.
  • Report shows which type of library is installed
  • Code cleaned up

3.12:

  • New: Possibility to move whole complexes (Hotkey – Fix/Unfix Complex)
  • New: Secure Position (Hotkey - Sets a colliding Station to a safe position)
  • New: Building Stations with coordinates (Additional Command, allows you to enter coordinates instead of searching the position of a station with the crosshair)
  • New: Reset Rotation of Stations (Hotkey – resets the rotation of a station to zero in all axes)
  • New: Automatic Station naming (will be done automatically when a new station has been built)
  • New: Show Station Infos (Hotkey – shows detailed informations about a station)
  • New: Saving Stations as a reference point
  • Compatibility with the X-Tended-Mod 0.7a - and every other mod
  • Generally improved user interface: Coloured hotkeys, commands, revised ingame-manual and report, ...
  • Improved unfixing of ControlCenters: Complex Connections will not be destoyed anymore if you defix the CC. So you can move the CC like every other station in the complex.
  • Generally improved unfixing of stations: Commands which run on the station will not be lost anymore
  • Bug fixed: Computer Plants used ore instead of silicon as resource.

3.11:

  • New: Camera Drones
  • New: OOS-Station building
  • New: Moving/rotating stations in a complex
  • Improved unfixing of ControlCenters: If you defix a CC, the wares and credits will not be lost. All wares will be randomly
distributed to the factories in your complex. You will also get money for the destroyed complex connections.
  • Additional command sin the report: Reset Hotkeys and Uninstall FCC.

3.10:

  • Command Slot changed: Compatibility Problem with X3Plus. (829)
THE NEW COMMAND FOR BUILDING STATIONS WITH THE FCC IS NOW IN "GENERAL COMMANDS"!!!
  • Bug fixed: The game crashed in some special situations, if you try to jump back in a sector with defixed stations.

3.09:

  • Bug fixed: strange wares added to CC's
  • Bug fixed: wrong message when you try to build a station on a blocked position

3.08:

  • Full manual (16 pages, pdf-file included in the download)
  • Ingame-Manual (short version - press the hotkey for a report, and you'll get a message, where you can select "show manual")
  • Support for building Mod-stations EXPERIMENTAL FEATURE! If you try to build a mod-factory, the script checks if there is an identical station somewhere in the universe. If there is one, it will set the same products and resources to your new factory. But if there isn't another factory, the new station will have no wares!!!
    all remaining bugs fixed:
  • Auto-Fixation corrected
  • Bug fixed: stations aren't player's possession after fixation
  • Bug fixed: stations have incorrect products and resources
  • Bug fixed: Factories don't work, even if they have resources
  • Bugfix-Command works correct
  • Bug fixed: Ships don't loose their homebase and command, if you defixate their base

Versions 3.05 and 3.06: (Written by Lt. Ford, 3.06 not released)

Don't know. There were more bugs than in version 3.00, and some people had enormous problems with this version.

3.04:

  • More bugs fixed
  • cosmetical correcures in the code
  • Integrated bugfix-command: Get a report from the FCC (define a hotkey in options/controls) and select "Set correct wares for factories".
If you've got factories which have wrong products or resources, you can use this command to fix the problem.
The command will fix all stations in the sector where you currently are. Before you use it, ensure that you've destroyed all complex connections between the stations you want to fix! The command won't work with complex hubs.
Please note that the command won't work with mod-factories like Ashley's XL/XXL-fabs, for example.

3.03:

  • Most known bugs fixed
  • Some small advancement: your target will automatically be set to a new built station, built stations will be market correctly, improved update-function

3.02 (Written by Lt. Ford, not released)

  • Defixated stations are now marked like this: [<station name>]

3.01: (Written by Lt. Ford)

  • Bug fixed: CTD when you enter a sector with defixated stations
  • Bug fixed: It's not possible anymore to defixate ships
  • FCC supports now ALL mod-stations*
  • Readtext-errors fixed
  • New command-slot: COMMAND_TYPE_SPECIAL_61 (no conflicts anymore with the Scrap Ship at HQ script)
  • ncluded russian textfile (thanks to ChemODun)

*= Only for moving and rotating the stations! Mod-stations have to be built with the standard-command!!
3.00: (Written by Lt. Ford)

  • 22.2.07: Error fixed in the textfile.
  • 21.2.07: Release (english version)
  • 7.2.07: Release (german version)

Bugfixing

In the versions before 3.10, there were lots of bugs in this script. If you've got a problem with one of the old versions, here are some possible solutions:

1. Make Sure that you've installed the latest version of the FCC.

2. What's the problem?
2.1: I've got Readtext-entries in the "controls"-menu instead of hotkeys.

->Solution: Open the Scripteditor and run 'setup.plugin.fcc' (press r, then enter in the upcoming window), or simply save your game and load it.

2.2: My factories have wrong products and/or resources.

->Solution: Get a report from the FCC (you may have to define the hotkey first). Choose "set correct wares" in the message. Now you'll get another message, press "do it!" there.
This command fixes all stations in the sector where you currently are, excepting complex hubs and docks!

2.3: The game crashes when I try to enter a sector where I've used the FCC.
->Solution: Open the Scripteditor, and search a file named 'plugin.fcc.station.bugfix' and run it. Now, everything should be fine Very Happy

3. Did you find a solution for your problem? Fine. If not: write in this thread what your problem is or send me a PM.

I want to thank Profitlord [KBG] for the translation of the FCC and the Thread, and for the many hours of testing for me. I hope you'll like the *new* FCC.

This actually sounds most awesome, i've been getting rather irritated by the ridiculous method of station placement, and the obscured view. what impeccable timing you have!

Thanks so much dude, i'll download and install now.

Wow, only good reviews in this short time - thank you guys Very Happy

I've just received a PM from euclid, he agrees that I can use his translated FCC-Manual as a basis for the new version. Big thanks to euclid Smile

If I would work hard (What I won't^^), I could finish the manual until next weekend.
But I have to work, and my free time is rare... So I think I can finish It next week Smile

Just downloaded it and am going to try it out. But noticed something strange. I don't know it looks like it's just me, but what i dl'd came with 448845.xml but the language id in the file itself was still 49. Simple change to 44 so no problem, just it seemed odd. Both files in the spk seemed to have same language code for me. I dl'd from 2nd link btw.

I also get the readtext error in the hotkey assignment screen.

I thought it was me and some strange error related to the german version I had. But, guess not.

I think I'm cursed.

Here is what i've done as a temp fix: I loaded up the t file in explorer to view it, and whatever id number that key was for i just looked to see what it did on my other window.

<t id="101">FCC: move X-</t>
<t id="102">FCC: move X+</t>
<t id="103">FCC: move Y-</t>
<t id="104">FCC: move Y+</t>
<t id="105">FCC: move Z-</t>
<t id="106">FCC: move Z+</t>
<t id="107">FCC: Fix/Defix station</t>
<t id="108">FCC: Increase move step</t>
<t id="109">FCC: Decrease move step</t>
<t id="110">FCC: Increase rotation Step</t>
<t id="111">FCC: Decrease rotation Step</t>
<t id="112">FCC: Increase rotation Alpha</t>
<t id="113">FCC: Increase rotation Beta</t>
<t id="114">FCC: Increase rotation Gamma</t>
<t id="115">FCC: Decrease rotation Alpha</t>
<t id="116">FCC: Decrease rotation Beta</t>
<t id="117">FCC: Decrease rotation Gamma</t>
<t id="118">FCC: Send report</t>

And assigned them accordingly. Now my next question is one regarding my stupidity because I just can't figure this out.

I'm making a Spacefuel hub closed loop.
I have:
1 Crystal Fab M
1 SPP M
2 Wheat Farms M
2 Cattle Ranch M
1 Cahoona M
1 Silicon Mine (Placed seperately so doesn't really count.)
2 Distillery's L

I realize this is going to need to be added to, because of things, but that's in the future.

I place the Crystal Fab with 0 0 0. No rotation no moving it other then that.

Then I place the SPP with a 1 0 1 To move it slightly left and north (I think) Again no rotation.

Then, placing the hub. Do I use the Build complex command for the hub as well, or do I just place it normally. When attempting the build command I do not get to choose the 2 stations to connect. It just puts it somewhere.

Then when attempting to place it normally I still get ugly pipes. Granted the pipes between the 2 stations are somewhat ok but that's all folks hehe.

I just don't seem to be able to get the good neat stations and pipes.

Oh yeah sry guys - Mistake in the T-File is fixed. Please download it again from the Mainlink should now work fine. For all who has installed the old Version with the Mistake in the T-File, you must do that:

- Open the ScriptEditor
- Execute the Script "plugin.fcc.hotkey" with R, and Input "DEREG" (without "")
- Execute the Script "plugin.fcc.hotkey" with R, and Input "REG" (without "")

Now all readtext in the hotkeys should be away

Greets
Ford

€: Deactivate the Download, must include some quick fixes! Only some min
€2: Ok download is online again. Fixes included. Replace all Script and T-Files with this in the package. Then follow the orders below.

Does Alpha = X
Beta = Y
Gamma = Z

in terms of the axis?
Y being up and down, Z being north and south, and X being Left and right?
(I think that's what it would be)

z
|
x--------x
|
z

(insert key)

y
x---x
y

Diagrams included because i suck at the whole explanation thing.

Also, placing hub by Build complex doesn't work to connect correct?
