Birth of the NAF[UPDATED](03/05/07)

The space between Montalaar and New Income has, for some time now been occupied by a sect of the Argon race calling themselves the New Argon Federation...None of the races took them serious until last month...Hiding their numbers in the astroid fields of Moo Kye's Revenge,Mi Ton's Refuge, and Loomank strats Legacy a massive pirate incursion began in New Income.

Satalites registered 180 Fighters before being blown up, Without any major Military assets in range the Teladi were easy prey.

At their hour of desperation the NAF's fleet jumped into the sector...Two massive titans opened fire Filling the space with Flak and Plasma.
A five hour battle ended in 197 pirate ships destroyed and a further 17 abandoned left to rot in space by their pilots.



The NAF sent a message to all teladi ships in the sector

This is Captain J.Aubren of the New Argon Federation Titan-Spartans Vengence We are assuming military defence of this system until your assets arrive.

The titan than sat at the South gate for 8 hours until the Teladi military force arrived...During the defense a further 93 pirate ships were either destroyed or abadoned.

Shortly after the Teladi,Argon, and Boron officially recognized the New Argon Federation as an independant power in the universe.

Current events! the NAF have quickly become a major player in the Kha'ak war when their best minds were stuck in one station for 4 months, the end result was a transmited computer virus capable of bypassing the safety and firewalls of the Xenon Capital ships with a rather explosive end result.

The Split and Teladi worry that the NAF could turn this virus against them and demanded the code be given to every race...Instead the NAF have officially signed a contract that will not allow them to use the virus on any of the major races in the galaxy(Paranid,Argon,Boron,Split,Teladi)

This way they can keep the secret exclusive to their faction and charge a small fee for eradicating the Xenon for good.
Currently they are working on a way to convert it to work against Kha'ak ships though it is difficult as no one has been able to study or capture one for any length of time.

Should this Virus prove effective with the Genocide of the Xenon the Argon,Boron and paranid would vote for the NAF to have an official seat at the Galactic Council

Today the New Argon Federation mourns the loss of Cpt.K,Aubry and the Argon Titan(Argon Templar), Initial investigations point to a faulty jump drive or alter'd coordinates...Argon Templar burned up in the orbit of the largest planet in Three worlds when they inadvertenly jumped into the planets orbit.
The NAF blames the Teladi shipping Co. that delivered the Jump drives,They disagreed with the choice of the NAF keeping the Xenon Computer hack to themselves,some NAF Citizens (now numbering almost 87 million) are going so far as to accuse the Teladi of sabatage.

-The New Argon Federation is well known to be the most accurate and disciplined being able to jump their capital ships literally 2M from a navigational beacon,which is why the accident raised so much suspicion.

Both the Argon and Boron are sending their best investigators to delve deeper into this mysterious accident,in the mean time the NAF have halted buying and using the Teladi jump drives which were suposed to replace the Goner's aged design.

The NAF's official statement follows.

In related news the NAF have confirmed another 6 titans and 2 collossus are in production with two nearing completion

Investigators have cracked the case wide open on the tragic loss of the Argon Templar,after finding some scribings on a chunk that survived the atmosphere they began interrigating Pirates.

The writing reads-"Revenge of the Fallen",Refering to the attack on new income some months ago by a massive pirate force,the Argon titans Argon Templar and Spartans Vengence Stayed the attacked a routed the pirates until Teladi forces could arrive and secure their sector.

They followed a few paper trails and discovered the Jumpdrive Super Frieghter was ambushed enroute the pirates used stolen escort fighters and the codes on the frieghter to pose as Teladi government vessel gaining access to dock and discard the Jumpdrive later to be installed in Argon Templar.

The Teladi are ashamed at the mistake and extend their hearty apologies to the Federation.
Recently granted a seat in parlament due to the overwhelming help against the Xenon skirmishes D.C Scipii Aka Zues moved for a declaration of war with joint ops, he requested the Split,Boron,and Argon join him in crushing the Pirates once and for all.

Though wearing his heart on his sleeves made a political blunder by using the word "Vendetta", still The Argon and Split have voted for the declaration to pass, the NAF only needs another positive vote to officially announce war on all pirates, as majority rules...They(NAF) are expecting the Paranid to vote for it and are hoping the teladi would do the same but are not expecting the boron to commit any sizable force nor vote for the declaration.

Zues(D.C Scipii) has stated he will wage war with or without the consent of the Council which worries many of the factions.

Rather than run and hide the pirates are actually gathering in large pockets all over the universe seemingly playing right into the strategic hands of the NAF.

All jump drives have been inspected by the NAF and have been given an operational go.
Because the NAF uses mainly plasma and munitions all Mass driver ammunition has been scanned for hollow rounds(explode in the chamber)and all of the reactors have been inspected for sabatage.

A blood thirsty empire is on the brink of yet another war but with new Capitals soon to roll out They are not expected to be thined out.
The War machine gives the Council an uneasy pause...Because they dont have long term relations with the NAF they are afraid they may turn on them next.

Zues's offical words on the Subject:I can understand their fear but I assure them I have no quarrel with any of the distinguished council members, The vile pirates will pay for their sabatage...Our men and women will not have died in vain...when we are done we will give our dead many friends in the afterlife and remove once and forall the pirate factions from our universe.

---The pieces set, the game begins,will they goto war with the pirates or will they simply order a shoot on sight? Either way blood will run like the rivers of Argon prime.---

The council has just declared war on all pirate factions,In a surprise vote the Boron voted for the declaration of war and have even commited a carrier to the cause...
Will history tell a tale of a unified universe defending their homes from evil? Or will history declare the war a crime as somany will have died over the personal vendetta of a dictator? Only time will tell this tale,all we can do is play our part.

Thanks for the kind words, I wanted to keep it simple since it's the very first attempt at any sort of fan stories. The writing will only get better as the story progresses.
