I am in the process of making ships from the warhammer 40k universe. I am almost finished a space marine thunderhawk gunship, i have started a imperial guard valkyrie and have plans for several more ships from tau battleships, space marine space cruisers and dark elder figates for example.

I am wondering as to what programs other ship modelers use to texure their ships or if someone can help me finish them off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

P.S. If you require sceenshots of my work, Plz msg me your email and i will send pics asap

You can use 3D MAX or GMAX (freeware), also read more modding tutorials about ships creating and add ships into the game.

Here are tutorial collection, this may help:

hmmm,

Never heard of it!

Well i wish you very much Good Luck in your endeavours...

Are you able to export into .BOD format from it?

Cause if you can't... then you need to move to GMAX or 3DS Max as they both can use DoubleShadow's DBOX2 export plugin... this will take it to .BOD so that the game can recognise it...

Just thought i better ask so you don't get carried away and have to start from scratch, if you want i can take a look how to get your models from this program you use into 3DS Max, and then i can supply you with a video tutorial on how to apply DDS Textures and UVW Mapping to your model in 3DS Max...?

Up to you...!

Thanks for the offer paladin. I decided to download Gmax. It will take me a while to get use to the controls.

The plans are still on the board though. I will post some pics in a day or two.
