Have any ships been made for this yet? Or is there a way we can extract them from other mods, where we only want the ships, and nothing else?

no ships have been released yet

but you can use the import wizard to create ships from existing mods

Ah...it's that file that I was blanking on as to what to drag into the installer program. Sweet! Will try it out.... :oops: ....after mowing the lawn.... :cry:

I've tried getting the ships out of both the DDRS mod and Rogueys mod, and both come up with an error of there being no TShips file. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

is this on the import wizard ?

it seems to work for me, Have a look in the cat file using the mod manager to check there is a type\tships.pck file in there

I've got it working now, I needed to extract the .dat file aswell. Now I just need my X3 game not to crash every 30 min :(

yeah, the dat files actually hold the data, the cat files are basically jsut the list of files ;)

Ok, another update, one of the last beta updates as its getting close to the main release.

now includes 7zip compression for ship files.

great tool I love it.. This is just some feedback for you not critisum saved game did not load and in the new game the ships dident appear in the argon prime shipyard dident get chance to visit the others to see if it was added will check later. Awsome tool

Yes it installed the scripts I will test it further over the weekend but it does make life easier :)

You never cease to amaze us.

But for those of us, such as myself, who are a bit non-technically inclined, if we import these ships into our game using this new program, how do we get to use the ships again? Will they automatically show up in Stevios Shipyard for example, or other shipyards, or do we have to work some creative (and to me, incomprehensible magic) with the script editor?

As I'm in the middle of destroying the Split, I could use some more ships :)

it depends on how the ship files are setup, there is an option in the creator to add them automatically to shipyards.

so if thats selected then they will be added. All the ones on the front page will be added to different shipyards.

if there not added, then you can either add it yourself with a script, use the cheat scripts to create the ship, or open up the ship file and select the shipyards to add, save and reinstall and then they will be added
