how do you find these little things they dont show up on the map or radar and you can't see them in space so how are you spose to find them?

If you fire an ID in combat, that seems pretty likely to summon a swarm of them. Try around Bala Gi's Joy, or the sectors near Omnicron Lyrae.

Also, try zooming in using your video googles when your ship is stationary, that seems to help spot them from farther away then when you've moving and have the debrie/spacedust floating past...

I find that if I stand around in space managing my empire for a while they seem to swarm past a couple times an hour or so. I also agree with the poster who said that firing Ion Disruptors seems to summon them. They are drawn like moths to the flame.
