that happened in an older version of the Merchants guild, but it should have been fixed in the latest version

I have version 1.44. However, I had an older version up until a month or two ago, when I installed the latest X3 patch. I then installed the latest version of your script collection, and loaded my previous savegame. Might this have anything to do with it? Everything else seems to work fine.

thats most likly the problem, if u used an old version previously, it would have created loads and stored them in your save game.

however, now u have the latest version, u shouldn't get any more added.

Is there any way for me to clear that list up? It's quite annoying having to look through the list to find entries from other scripts. I suppose I could disable or uninstall the Merchants Guild script, because I don't really use it. However, I like having it there, because it's something I might give a try later.

Stealing is wrong! But I just couldn't help myself.

Here I was with only Adv. Sat's in about 25% of the Universe and going to get more to put around town. When after docking with an Advance Sat Station I check the boards to see if I could do any merc work or anything. And low and behold what do I see, a merchant mission to deliver 157 Adv. Sat's to some station somewhere.

I think to myself; 157 that's enough for the galaxy and then some. I can hold them all in my M7 with room to spare and then flit around the galaxy and place them where I want them. So, I decided to save, Accept mission and well keep them. Deadline passes and no message saying that I failed to Deliver the Sat's. No Police chasing my wagonload of stolen goods.

Sweet! But I would still like to reiterate, Stealing is wrong, but sometimes it has to be done.

did u check how much money u add after the mission ?

usually the money just gets removed from your account to cover the cost of the stolen wares. However, u should get a message to say that u have failed

Didn't check my money that wouldn't be good. I would have been able to cover the cost. But there was no message. Hmm....now it's not as funny.

Just to wrap up my so called heist of like 200 Adv. Sats. Apparently the mission was considered still open. Even after several hours/days of play. I randomly docked at the station where the sat's were to be delivered and got the failed mission msg with a deduction for the missing Sats. Only had about 100 in my inv still. So the guy took like 1 mil from me! Oh well, just goes to show you, crime doesn't pay.

after uninstalling / removing this script via scriptmanager all those incorrectly spelled guild "satalites" are still hanging around in space

before uninstalling, u should disable the AL Settings for the script, this will remove things like that

Hi i just installed this scrip and i want to start new game
so a question:

1. where do i find the station where i can registre myself to the guild?
2. is it (stations) availble just at the beginning of the game? (i just started)

the location of the stations are completly random, but it does tell you the sectors they are in on the BBS, so look out for the messages on the BBS.

they are created in your game over time, so if you have just started, then its likly there arn't any stations available. Which isn't too much of a problem as at the start of the game, you dont generally have enough money to join the guild anyways

Advances best sales locator not showing anywhere

Hi, I was wondering if this script still works with 2.0 because I cant see the advanced best sales locator anywhere, and when I check out the script it seems like the initialisation misses a parameter.

Check the following screenshot from al.plugin.merchant:

I think there's either a conflict or I'm missing some files identifying the ware.

Any suggestions on how to identify the problem/cause and how to fix it ?

I have version 2.01 of the Community Extended Mod Pack

ATM I have fixed it by hooking the command up to the Trade Software Mk3.
And everything works fine, I know it's 50% cheaper than the original part, but I could not find a more suitable alternative.

i just downloaded this script and checked for updates; it updated to 1.50

just wondering what's new cause i checked the readme on plugin manager only showed updates for 1.44

question about the merchants guild

i thought i read that when u become a level 3 merchant (through the merchants guild script) that u can buy ships from the merchant guild shipyards??

am i mistaken? cos all the ones in my game are empty. im a level 3 merchant with exp. somewhere around 19,000
