Spaceflies...

Sorry if this has been asked before, but i dont fancy trawling through 33 pages to check

has anyone written a script to add a spacefly factory into the x3 game.

i have a few for x2, but they didnt even work in x2 right.

all help gratefully appreciated

I think nuclear_eclipse is working on one but nothing is out that I know of yet.

You can do it yourself it you have LV's Cheat scripts installed.

Create station, then choose location, select product spaceflies and select some resources (select undefined for none). Then select race and finally the number of stations.

i can right a quick one if you want it scripted to a shipyard so you can buy it. but if you want to script it in you might as well use LV's cheat script

edit: can't seem to upload it at the moment.

can ye script it for cycrows installer, if not too much trouble?

i would use LV's scripts, but that seems like, well, like, well....cheating :)

whilst i have them installed, i mainly only use the "destroy" script to get rid of the hub if i muck up. opens all the stations again to retry. (i know, i could reload, but that seems like, well, like, well....cheating)

i reckon spaceflies as the product, slaves as a pimary resource for incubation, and space fuel as a secondary resource to keep the slaves pissed and oblivious :twisted:

1) i only use Cycrows script installer from now on

2) i will default it to be sold at shipyard in Family Pride it doesn't cost to much

3) you can change what shipyard you want it to be sold at. by re excecuting the script in the script edit by

-> scroll down to the script name Stevio.spacefly
-> press "r"
-> select ship or station press "enter"
-> choose shipyard on pop up galaxy map
-> select station press "enter"
-> choose shipyard on pop up galaxy map

done

4) i am having trouble up loading but will keep trying

great.

if you did that resources thing i suggested, i finally have a market for my slaves.

somrthing distasteful about trading with pirates...

(But using slave bodies as an incubator for a giant fly that glows, whilst i keep them too pissed to notice seems ok.)

for some wierd reason i like the way you think

i just looked and spacefly farm is about 1.2mil and a very high rep level (4th from top)

and it has its own set of resources i would rather not mess around with it now if you ain't got the rep

please fill me in on whether you have enough rep to buy one

i really fancied a factory where the slaves were used as slaves for...you know what...

but there were several things that kinda knocked that idea

the factory name "Bliss Place" was already used.
what resource would you get from said factory? ( a variety of spacefly?) :)

just doesnt seem to work as well as incubators.

but thanks for the compliment. dont be offended if i call you a sicko :D

this only sticks it in the family pride shipyard i haven't fiddled with the resources yet. i have'nt the rep to buy one myself

as i do not know what resources it uses i cannot remove them

can you save

buy one, find out what its primary/secondary resources and products are and tell me

and then i know what to remove and what to add

went to family pride
went to shipyard
didnt see anything obvious as a spacefly farm
bought 1 of each station
went to unknown sector
deployed each station
nowt about spaceflies

script defo installed using the installer
even went as far as reinit scripts.
still nowt in family pride shipyard

what am i doing wrong?

(Apart from playing too much x3?)

i've done this same thing but with LV's cheat script, i have 4 spacefly farms and 2 slave farms and i've used XL solar plants on all of them with energy cells as the main resource and it works a treat. i now have over 100 million credits :D , but they only store 50000 energy cells so u gotta keep em topped up but u make so much back its well worth it.

i've downloaded the spaceflie farm script and i'll see what its like.

it may have been the first attempt script i added it to argon prime shipyard as tester to see if it worked?

so used to scripts initialising themselves these days.
