... Thanks for the thread guys... But I think that I cant do it... =(. I am all day trying to construct ths (everything is argon): SPP XL (1) + Crystal L (2) + Crystal M (1) + Cahona Backery L (2) + Cahona Bakery M (1) + Cattle Ranch L (2) + Cattle Ranch M (1). Cant do it!
EDIT: There is some way to redo an complex that I have already constructed? Maybe explode the dick hub and pick up stations with a TL? =) Or only tractor beam?

Well I believe this topic is about X2, it's pretty old.
In TC, you can just drop all the factories on top of each other, once linked together with CCKs they wont blow up. Just watch that the shields don't get too low before you connect them. Not real pretty (tubes stick out at odd angles), but easier on the frame rate in sector. Just make sure you place the hub away from your factory stack or you will crash if you ever try to dock.
You can self destruct the hub and tractor your factories around, but no way to redeploy without buying new ones. Tractoring factories too close together will result in big booms

Thanks for the tip. The shield will not goes down in TC even when I am IS? Or only OOS?. I hate the ugly and messy complexes... Think that I have to forget about prety complexes...

Once connected the collision detection stops and your shields will stop going down, even in sector.

Even though this old thread refers to Reunion I believe, it does a very nice job of explaining how complexes work.
As it appears that Photobucket may be removing some of the images I would be happy to offer a more permanent storage location or perhaps turn it into a PDF seeing as it didn't make the superbox. Might even put it on the X3 wiki.

Great to see people still checking this thread.
If you want to know more about connecting and building Like stations in the same location please read the relevant section in my story guide.
In my story,I have called them New-tech Complexes, but the idea goes back some time. I just put it to use in the story while testing the theory, and found it works.
I have acknowledged those whom I know had done it before me,but if there are any other who had done it before the start date of my thread, then feel counted with the rest.
I am told you can't do it in Reunion, but have not tested it there.
...ok...for those who want it without wading through the story...it starts with the Hub Plot partway down this page here...http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=3149111#3149111

Oh, I wish you'd posted this an hour ago!
I've just finished finding the thread then making my way to page 13!
Cheers for the info. Just trying to decipher the accent

The accent is a drawl of combined local words or phrases from Ireland and the south/south-west of the UK.
Some readers like it.Others don't understand it too well.
Feel free to ask about any words or phrases you are stuck on.
Quote them if possible,please.

Agreed, since they did nothing to improve this feature *grumble* except I think the game no longer crashes if the complex can not find a node, not a hundred percent on how they did that.

Oh, dear Norman!
I get it, I'm English despite living on the other side of the globe. Thought I'd finally escaped the west-country accent, oh well
It does add to the flavour so it's not a complaint
Will have a go at the technique and will let you know if I require translation of any of the instructions.
@incubi: I have yet to build a complex in either R or TC but I understand it's improved in TC (and later patches in R)
Cheers
