But don't worry, I had to start at 6am today... and it's actually fun (especially since that means I'm done at 3pm  )
Good luck with your job... what is the job ? ( X-Warrior B AS checks the time. Looks like T3 isn't gonna respond until tomorrow  )

well i got in late at 7:15 today  (alarm clock didnt go off  )
i just got back and as fer the 6am i could get that too but i try to prevent it as much as i can since im horrible in the morning (more an late evening person )
for pers reasons i wont tell what i do i might induce a uncontrolled laugh that wont stop fer a good while

Start at 0545 and finish around 2000 but thats life in the offshore oil industry........The two weeks off are nice though.

Heheh, My heart bleeds for all you guys. My ship goes into dry dock after this trip for two weeks or so, and I dont have to be on it, so, I get extra leave then a short trip then another months leave.
All I can say is, There aint many companies that'll pay ya 3 months wages for 2 weeks work!!!

Thats all well and fine, but at the end of the day I go home from work to my wife and family. Not really the case with you working on a ship is it?

You are absolutely right there!!! And, as you mention later in your post, I am single, but I don't really consider it a different story coz, whereas you go home to your wife and kid(s) (I do envy you a little in that respect, but not a lot), at the end of MY working day, I goto my cabin and get to play X-T in peace and quiet (from 11 other morons anyway) for as long as I like, and get paid for it
Dream job to me, but I'm sure others would say otherwise. Only thing I miss is going down the boozer of a night for a couple of jars and some banter.
