They say that the lottery is winnable, it just has the same odds as a real lottery. In other words, "Zip point Spit".

As far as I know, no one in X2 ever won it, though. 8)

P.S., Don't forget the 98% Tax!

I just won a Mammoth and I flew to the dock to see, and the station says its docked there.

So, I kept trying to order it to go places or do things and it won't leave the damn station.

When I docked at the station I couldn't undock. I tried switching between the two of my ships but neither can undock. I had to go back to a previous save.

I really want my Mammoth. Or, at least I wish I could sell it off if not use it but I can't even get it undocked.

Great prize, thanks a lot.

With just a hint of sarcasm.

Makes me want to open that thing up and see what might be causing it.

It could be the game freaking out over the rep requirement. Can you ordinarily purchase a mammoth if you had the cash?

well when you win ships, it usually just places it as a station for you to pick it up, its possible it just stuck or it doesn't work properly for larger ships, ill have to have a look at that

I'm not ranked very high. I started a new game when I added that mod just in case.

The worst part was it spawned on the other side of the universe. Omnicron Lyrae.

So, I dumped what was left of the 100k (76k) they give you at the start of the game into a beat up pirate harrier I acquired through peacful means... I increased its max speed to 375 so I could outrun pirates. Which brings to mind some advice, a single beta laser and no shields really isn't that useful.

I desperately checked every station's stock on the way for anyone selling 1MJ shields. Light shield bases, trading stations, equipment docks, nothing, no good.

Then I made my way sector after sector after sector until I got to the sector it was docked in. Thanks in part to a nice jpg of a starmap of the system someone posted in the forums.

When I got there, I was so excited to see a huge Mammoth floating there, I almost cried. Then I realized it wasn't highlighted in green.

I was in denial for an hour as I attempted to order it around.

Then, I checked its cargo and specs and noticed it had different specs than the ship I supposedly owned; higher speeds, more cargo room, actual cargo, etc.

Slowly it dawned on me, mine was still docked but not visible to the naked eye. I just assume this is how they dock large ships, they don't appear.

Therefore, I decided to go ahead and dock and bring that bad boy out.

I switched to the deck of my Mammoth and I was more than excited, that I did a victory dance on my chair.

Then, frustration followed as I realized I couldn't undock.

This was followed by sadness. :( :(

Finally, I decided to call it a miss and just switch back to my harrier to undock and go on with life. :o You can imagine how     happy I was to find that my harrier was similarly stuck.

Cycrow.. maybe you have to change it so the ship spawns outside the station then docks at it. bit of a pita, though..

If you can get off the shipyard, try ordering the Mammoth to move while you are out of sector. That might work.

Okay, I was able to get off the station by ejecting my pilot. My harrier and mammoth still docked.

Then, I ordered my mammoth to dock at another yard, didn't work.

Then I ordered my mammoth to go to another sector, didn't work.

Then I ordered my mammoth to protect me, didn't work.

Then I ordered my mammoth to attack another ship, didn't work.

Then I ordered my harrier to come protect me, it worked.

I told it to stop, then I floated over and got back in.

Then, I ordered my mammoth to do things, still nothing. It says its doing it, but it stays docked. Same problem, but at least I can get my harrier out.

I still want it out though. This is like winning a sweepstakes but having the car impounded and the IRS knocking. I understand the desire for realism, but come on!

They wanted my harrier too, but I broke it out! Now to find an alley to hide it in to keep it away from the repo-man.

p.s. It's not at a shipyard, its at an argon free trading station. I really wish it was on the shipyard, then I could sell that beyatch and be done with it.

D'oh! That's what it is!

I was suggesting that you give it orders while you are in a different sector, but if it's stuck in a trading station...

Good idea, Cycrow! Hey, is the original X3 lottery a script that you can open and edit somewhere?
