This is taken from the original post on Robert Space Industries web page and was on the pledge for SC on kickstarter.

- A rich universe focused on epic space adventure,
- Trading and dogfighting in first person.
- Single Player – Offline or Online
(Drop in / Drop out co-op play)
- Persistent Universe (hosted by US)
- Mod-able multiplayer (hosted by YOU)
- No Subscriptions
- No Pay to Win

Of course it has shifted towards the more profitable MMOG model as the kickstarter campaign was reaching more goals, but that is the original post wrote by the man himself.

Yup. I also am one of the original pre-order backers for SC.

I don't see that and Rebirth as competitors... especially since he's trying to force everyone to fight in cockpits. I HATE cockpits.

I'll probably go for a missile boat in that game so I don't have to do any ****** dogfighting; this is another thing I dislike. I prefer to sit back and watch my drones or fleet of ships take them out while I laugh.

Oh and on topic, I just hope that the awsomeness of the game will be inversely proportional to the amount of PR we've received.

I am failing to see what all this Off Topic discussion of SC has to do with X Rebirth release date. If you just want to discuss SC then do it in the relevant thread in OT thanks.

Let us be completely honest. There is nothing in this thread that has anything to do with anything because it is just back and forth banter about everything from Weather to Cars to gaming software. Since there is no communication about actual release dates there is really no "On Topic" discussion happening here is there?

So when are you guys closing this thread and starting up part 3?

If I'd known the game would be dela... further unannounced/not confirmed (whichever we're going for these days) for two more years I would of taken one of those daily face by face shots that people take for a few years.

Hmmm i think that this is release date of book, not of the game.

Book can be released before/at the same time/after the game.

So, we still know nothing (ok, ok, we know that game is still under development, but that is all).

I'm still here, and I'll post when there's something new to say. Nothing has changed, however, so we are still looking at a 2013 release.
