Hidden ships

Post by euclid »

There are several 'hidden' ships, so-called 'feebees', that keep respawning at the same locations (at least for now - it may change in the future). Since there is no "move to position" command as it was in previous X games, the following positions are intuitive (find the Skunk in the zone map and you'll know what I mean ;-) ):
  • Maelstrom - Sturdy Crusader - east 5.7 Km, up 10.5 Km: Xenon N (requires a pilot)

Albion - Periodic Blasting - south 24.8 Km, west 28.7 Km, up 16.2 Km: Talorcan (requires a pilot)

Albion - Woodland Pasture - west* 44.4 Km, north 43.9 Km, down 15.1 Km: Eterscel Sentinel (requires a pilot)

Omicron Lyrae - Drippy Ascent - east 16.7 Km, south 28.9 Km: Rahanas Container (requires a captain, recommended an engineer and a defense officer)

Omicron Lyrae - Solitude - east 14.1 Km, south 19.8 Km, up 25.9 Km: Foltor Sentinel (requires a pilot)

DeVries - Magma Pool - south 5.2 Km, east 18.9 Km, down 5.9 Km: Daito (requires a pilot)

DeVries - Flickering Flame - south 35.6 Km, east 30.2 Km, up 7.5 Km: Maelchon (requires a pilot)

Fields of Opportunity(DLC) - Serpentine Haze - Last Resort: Vulture

Fields of Opportunity(DLC) - Fatal Path - Biting Steel: Manorina

I've hunted for these hidden ships before but if they are out of scan range of the stations in a zone, its no use. I can't figure out from where I should start navigating.

From which point in those zones are you measuring?

From the centre of the zone, which won't help you either because no one knows where that is ;-) Just fly to what you think is the centre and then start searching. In a vanilla game the Skunk's radar range is what, 25 Km or so. Aim roughly in the direction I've provided, move slowly, use long range scan and keep checking the zone map.

We won't have it it too easy, do we? :p

It is incredible hard, but they are really there!!, so far I ahave collected the 2 ones from Devries (the Daito its the easyest), and the Talorcan from Albion.
I havent being able to locate the one in Woodland pasture, I invested more tan an hour and nothing.

Definitely use your longe range scaner and constantly chech your map, when the ship shows on it, just plot your course to it an clam it.

Its written in the post.. pilots and captain.

Highlight the target F key will yield a claim option. And I assume you land on the rahanas to assign your captain.

ok, i´m putting it easy for you guys:

DeVries - Magma Pool, (Daito): as soon as you exit the highway (exit to your right), turn to your right in a 90 degree angle and you will see a blue square about 35 kms away, go and claim it.

DeVries - Flickering Flame (Maelchon): exit the highway to your left, and as soon as you do it, turn les tan 30 degrees to your left and 15 degrees up, and about 40 to 45 kms you will find it. Unlike the Daito, this one its hidden, so you wont be able to spot it until you are les tan 10 kms away, and it will only be seen on your map.

Albion - Periodic Blasting (Talorcan): when exiting highway, face southwest on a 45 degree angle and 45 degree up and continue for about 35 kms, same deal, you wont see it until you get at least 10 kms away.

So far this is what I found, also, they keep spawning every hour or so.

Take a pilot with you and when in reach, press F select claim and the pilot will fly and take it.

Enjoy!!

Update: here is how to find this ones

Omicron Lyrae - Drippy Ascent (Rahanas Container): This is very easy to locate, just enter the zone and fly a few kms to your right and it will show both on your map and visually.

Omicron Lyrae - Solitude (Foltor Sentinel): When in the zone, locate the water plant, go there and you will find two docking points (the ones that are lounge or bar sites) along the structure, pick the one on right side and sit on top of it, then align your nose up just enough to get past the building, fly for about 30 kms and check your map, you should be able to locate it and plot a course to it.

Same as the others, they will spawn again and again, the only thing though its that you wont be able to sell the Rahanas on any shipyard.

Enjoy!!!

Just found this on roguey's site in universe map here: http://roguey.co.uk/xrebirth/universe/ select system then sector then zone on the bottom right corner there is an option to show hidden objects check it and it will show you the location of the ship. Unless you enjoy flying around aimlessly for hours. :P

Hi John McG :-)

It depends on you game (free or campaign) which of the gates is available. The general route is this:
  • From Far Out go to zone Big Empty and take the superhighway to The Third Duke
From Ascendancy find the zone Shady Vault and take the superhighway to Crossroads
From Inner World find the zone Watergate and take the superhighway to Wrecksville
From Lookout Alpha find the zone Auspacious Excarvation and head for the cloud (foggy area) to find the gate to DeVries to arrive in Bleak Pebble
From Bleak Pebble find the zone Crimson Rock and take the superhighway to Unmet Promise
From Barren Heart find the zone Torrid Veil and take the superhighway to Fervid Corona
From Glaring Truth find the zone Furnace Chamber and take the superhighway to Fiendish Moloch
From Molton Archon find the zone Vapour Stream to find the gate to Omicron Lyrae
Hope that helps.

Cheers Euclid
