Greetings...
Poisoned paranid game in X3-AP. Have friendly relationship with pirate bases but suddenly their lasertowers have turned hostile while bases remain friendly. My fleet is all friendly with pirates. Technique of sending a fleet ship into sector turns red paranid lasertowers blue but does not effect pirate lasertowers. I vaguely recall this happening while playing X3-AP several years ago but I don't remember what the fix was.
Anyone have an idea or procedure to remedy this glitch.

Yes, you can change Pirate Bases between red and blue or back according to your pirate rep, but once made red, their LTs always stay red.
There is a no rep loss trick using missiles where you launch them at the red LT and jump away the ship that fired them (but not with the player onboard) before they hit.
